This tripod is about 30-40% less expensive than most tripods of the same class, while the built quality and sturdiness remain at a high level. The quick release system isn't super smooth, but then again at that price one can't really complain. It's perfect if you are planning to use a teleprompter on it or a big camera with big lenses. Just bear in mind that it does take a little bit of space, so it might not be ideal if you are filming in a tight space.

Assez lourd pour éviter tout geste malencontreux et juste assez léger pour être manipulé sur de petites distances . C'est du solide et c'est fluide,

Zuerst ich bin kein Profi. Ich habe vorher zwei Stative bestellt und auch mit einem Spektiv ausprobiert. War mit beiden nicht zufrieden. Aber dieses Teil ist für mich top. Stabil und schnell aufgebaut. Zu berücksichtigen ist für manche vielleicht das Gewicht. Ist nicht das leichteste. Zusammengelegt hat es in der Tasche eine Länge von ca. 70cm. Von mir sehr zu empfehlen.

Es wurde 3 früher geliefert als versprochen!Finde ich super!Stativ ist leicht zu montieren.Sehr stabil, hab große Videokamera und hält perfekt!360 grad ist auch möglich beim Filmen.Es macht so Spaß zu Filmen.Bin echt begeistert!

Nutze das Stativ mit einem Kopf von Manfrotto, den beigelegten Kopf verwende ich als Ersatz. Der Kopf ist grundsätzlich ok, aber nur begrenzt einstellbar.

I have no complaint. the fluid head feels solid and the packaging was pristine and the bag it comes with is nice. I can't wait to test it out on the field.

Lieferung perfekt, Transport dank der mitgelieferten Tasche problemlos, ist aber natürlich ein Heavy-Duty-Teil, das man nicht stundenlang schleppen kann. Der Fluidkopf ist allererste Sahne, mit ihm gelingen wirklich geschmeidige, ansatzlose Schwenks und Neigungen. Ein Manfrotto-Fluidkopf mag natürlich noch einen Hauch besser sein, kann ich aber nicht beurteilen, weil ich mir nur den Chinesen und nicht den Edelitaliener leisten kann. Die volle Anzahl Sterne kann ich auch nicht vergeben, weil ich nicht beurteilen kann, ob der Fluidkopf nach ein, zwei Jahren Gebrauch auch noch so zuverlässig und geschmeidig arbeitet. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist jedenfalls super, mehr Standfestigkeit kann man für knapp 160 Euro nicht erwarten/verlangen.

I finally took the plunge and purchased this Cayer BV30 tripod to replace a 30 year old Velbon tripod. I do a lot of nature photography both still and video and mostly telephoto for both. I needed a fluid type head so this tripod/head combo seemed like a good way to go. I'm using a Pentax K3 and Pentax 300mm lens for still work and a Canon Xa10 video camera with monitor and shotgun microphone attached. The tripod and head provided a steady platform for both cameras in my first outing last week.Update: Cayer quickly sent me the missing quick release plate. Kudos for excellent service!My initial impression opening the shipping carton was that the nylon carrying case was well built. Then I pulled the tripod out of the case. It is solidly built! It feels substantial, like it will last. It looks professional. It came with one quick release head (should have had two) and a couple of wrenches needed for mounting screws.I don't know how the plastic knobs will hold up over time, but I am usually careful not to over tighten so they may work just fine. The tripod bowl mounting for the head makes it easy to level the camera without having to adjust tripod legs. The head mounted bubble level is easy to use if you tilt the fluid head forward. It's quick and easy to set up and start shooting.The ability to use either the included 1/4" or 3/16" screws on the quick release plate is a plus. (Hint for Cayer: put a small pocket in or on the carrying case for the extra parts and tools.) The spring loaded safety release button is another cool feature to prevent the camera from accidentally sliding out of the head's mounting plate.At full 64" extension the tripod is solid, It's not like placing the camera on a granite boulder, but it is solid.I'm not sure if this is a true fluid head, but it does pan and tilt smoothly. I was able to set the tension to allow free movement when panning and tilting and hold the camera steady in one position when I stopped moving.I am happy with my purchase. I think I got a great value for the price especially for a head and tripod combo.
