Die 80 mm Objektivlinsen haben eine gute Lichtstärke und zeigen auch in der tiefsten Dämmerung noch gute Low-Light-Leistung. Linsen mit besonders niedriger Streuung schließen die chromatische Abweichungen oder Farbsäume, ein visueller Mangel vieler Ferngläser, fast gänzlich aus. Sie liefern durchgehende Schärfe mit guter Farbkorrektur und gestochen-scharfe Bilder. Die Okulare des SkyMaster Pro ED verfügen über ein Gewinde, um standardmäßige 1,25-Zoll astronomische Okularfilter aufschrauben zu können. Dank dem integrierten Stativ-Adapter des SkyMaster Pro ED 20x80 mm kann das Fernglas auf einem Stativ montiert werden. Neben der zusätzlichen Stabilität fungiert der Adapter auch als Ausgleichsschiene, die am mittleren Stützstab verschoben werden kann, um ein Rotpunkt-Suchfernrohr anzuschließen. Sobald das Rotpunkt-Suchfernrohr ausgerichtet ist, können Sie mit dem Rotpunkt-Suchfernrohr in Sekundenschnelle Objekte anvisieren. Das Gehäuse aus Polycarbonat und Aluminium macht das Fernglas leichter, ohne die Strapazierfähigkeit zu schmälern. Die Gummiarmierung ist robust und strapazierfähig und kann einiges wegstecken. Mit dem vollständig wasserdichten Gehäuse können Sie das Fernglas beruhigt auch bei schlechtem Wetter verwenden. Außerdem ist das Gehäuse mit Trockenstickstoff gefüllt, damit die Linsen bei großen Temperaturschwankungen oder in feuchtem Wetter nicht von innen beschlagen. Mit 20-facher Vergrößerung rücken ferne Objekte näher – ideal, um Himmelskörper in größeren Einzelheiten zu betrachten, im Wald nach Wild zu suchen oder am Horizont ferne Objekte zu betrachten.

I bought a pair of 25 by hundreds and they came back to me not properly collated so I bought the 20 by 80s and these are really beautiful crisp stars and that’s a lot of light in. I could tell a difference between these binoculars and a regular pair of binoculars Very well built. Also they have a little weight to them and I like that I have the option for a pieces for the moon, which works very nice.

I've been an amateur astronomer for 55 years, and have used binoculars a lot. These are a very impressive unit. The optics are excellent and almost completely free of chromatic aberration, and the light grasp is awesome. They are heavy, but that comes with having a pair of over 3" refractors with porro prisms on the tripod! The sky background is very very dark in these binocs; they must be well baffled. The images are crisp and contrasty, and I can hardly wait to get them out to a dark sky observing site.

I ordered the Skymaster 20x80 Pro ED as an Amazon warehouse deal. Amazon said that the package was not original, which didn't matter to me at all. What did matter, however, was that the binos were broken! The focus mechanism didn't move the lenses and did nothing at all. I managed to move the oculars by hand in a very inconvenient way, but enough to bring the binos to focus and test the optics: WOW! Extra-sharp images of the moon and Jupiter, superb contrast, not a hint of false colors, good collimation. I was tempted to keep the binos and try to repair them, but still felt that $335 was too much money for a broken item. On top of that, the oculars' housings are so RIDICULOUSLY HUGE that I couldn't fit my nose between them! My IPD of 60mm is on the narrow side, but nothing extraordinary. I had the same problem a couple years ago when trying a pair of Celestron 25x100 (and returned them too). Celestron really needs to trim down those unnecessarily large ocular housings to make the binos actually useable by a majority of people. It's a shame because otherwise the optical/build quality is excellent... except perhaps for the sloppy QC which allows some non-working binos to exit the assembly line. A quick test of each unit before leaving the factory would really boost Celestron's reputation for quality. 5/5 for optical quality, 5/5 for Amazon customer service, 1/5 for actual useability, 3/5 overall.

Great binoculars, the ED glass is amazing, very little aberration. I love them and looking at the moon is amazing.

Said IPD min 56mm. I’m 62mm. This is incorrect as eyecups too big. Cannot get full field of view. Celestron needs to update this! Terrible! Cannot use them and have to return. Very disappointed!
