Got them for fire wood. They are a bit small for large 12-14in pieces however for kindling pieces work great.

I used these sand bags for removing dirt from a crawl space. They are just wide enough to slip on a 5 gallon (18.2L) pail with it's bottom cut off. Slide on as far as you can, turn over and fill pail, lift from bottom edge of pail and shake dirt into end of bag, slide pail up in bag and fill some more. Full bags are close to 1 cubic foot and weighed about 75lbs. with dry dirt and 80+ with damp earth.Of 300 bags, the only failures I had were from catching and slicing the bag on something or just not gathering the top into the tie properly."20 M Ties" means 20m (~66ft.) of light polypropylene twine. I kept running out of twine before filling 50 bags until I started pre-cutting 16" ties. The bottom of the bags seemed well sewn and none failed. The tops are heat sealed but not folded over.I'm storing the bags covered outside and it's winter so I can't comment on there UV resistance. These bags are light weight but quite well constructed and only failed when dragged against something a bit sharp.

We bagged this sand only 4 weeks ago and the bags disintegrated like paper just sitting there. They are larger then the typical sandbags but this horrible quality is completely unacceptable - normal sandbags last almost a year. Terrible waist of plastic what a mess

I was initially alarmed at the bundle I received - green (these are supposed to be white?!!!), wide weave (will never hold sand), so heavily wrapped in packing tape the bag was falling apart by the time I got the tape off. My initial thought (from the green bag) was that these weren’t going to be very high quality. And then…And then I got enough tape off to slip scissors into the green bag - and opened the bundle. Turns out the white bags were well packaged and concealed inside the poor quality green bag (so glad I didn’t return these based on my mistaken first impression). The bags - white, tightly woven, seem sturdy, and have a lightly singed edge along the top cut section that will keep the bags from unraveling. I haven’t used them yet, but based on a visual inspection have no doubts these will handle sand, rock, or anything else I want to put into them. Bonus - ties were included for the bags.I would recommend this product to anyone looking to bag sand, gravel, or rock.
