A buddy got me on to these as an alternative to plain fleeces for camping. This is a really nice item to have in your camping kit.

I agree completely with the previous reviewer that this is an excellent summer sleeping bag. The ripstop nylon cover makes the fleece far warmer than it would be without the nylon, and should also make it far more durable. I tested it on a 55 degree day this week, and found it up to the task, but it's definitely not a 3 season bag. It's also about a third the weight and size of our 3 season bag, which is exactly what we wanted for this. We are also impressed with the stuff sack being able to be turned inside out, stuffed with clothes and used as a fleece pillow. We've just ordered another, and look forward to being able to zip them together.Before buying this, I checked out all the rectangular sleeping bags at our local REI, and frankly they were all too warm and too bulky for my planned use on a summer bike tour. This, on the other hand, looks like it will be perfect for the task.Highly recommended!

If your looking for an ultralight sleeping system, look no further. The Cocoon bag is simply the call to lightweight bags and a very functional sleeping bag for backpackers and those needing to conserve weight and space. I camp regularly as a motorcyclist and I have two of the outdoor Cocoons zipped together and I also have the sheet that attaches in the Summer. It is warm enough for me down into the thirtys and cool enough in the Summer. The outer shell keeps your body heat in and the lining is very comfortabe next to your skin. I love that whole easy sleeping bag system idea that the Cocoon provides and while others are carrying heavy bulky bags on thier motorcycles, I have the Cocoon!
