My dog runs through the woods where there are snakes. These alert the snake to his presence so they can move away. It also helps me to keep up with him a little better.

They are small and light, make a bearscaring noise I guess as I'm still here to write this review. If I get eaten up by a bear with this on, My husband has been instructed to update this review to a one star so the general public will know they didnt work.

I use two bells per bike and hikers can hear them early enough to move to the side of the trial which is all one can ask for. Happy riding.

The magnetic part attached to the strap is not long enough, if it's not perfectly aligned, it will not hold the bell silent. If you just wanted a bell, then it works fine, if you want a silent option, then look at other options. I'm sure they are all manufactured down the same assembly line though. Maybe keep a bigger magnet with you.
