Das Glas ist treffend benannt, da das Band (die Kreise Glas und der Dosierer Maßband) ähnelt einer Schnur (Cordon in Französisch).

This is larger than Pontarlier style glasses but it weighs less and I prefer its less chunky feel. The reservoir holds exactly 30ml if you fill it to the bottom of the bulge in the glass, just where the glass starts to flare out. The only criticism I have is that mine is not quite level on the top - one side is slightly higher then the other - but it's a very slight imperfection and not enough to make me want to have it replaced.

The glass is fine, well made, and is exactly as pictured. What surprised me is its large size. I wasn't prepared for something this solid and big, but should have read the sizing specs more carefully. Not a problem really, just a note that this isn't your delicate drinking glass! In fact, if I were to use the bottom reservoir as the measure for the absinthe and the top part as the water portion (which is the way portarliers work), this would be three of my usual aperitifs of absinthe. No problem for a night of serious imbibing, but not for a quick small nip for sure.

This is a big glass. It’s light and feminine feeling, which I often fold lacking in absinthe glasses. It is one of the taller glasses, but fits nicely beneath my fountain. The dosing reservoir holds a lot of absinthe (2 shots), so it makes for a very large drink. I like it more than my pontarlier glasses, but not as much as my torse glass.
