So far, the best USB 4 I have found. Clock out as 4000MBps. Very little heat. Very good transfer rate.

After going through literally the worse issues of having the Sandisk Pro G40 for a year and the random disconnects, sudden thermal throttling and data loss, I sent it back for a rma and after a month they decided to refund me but boy was it a task!!!! So after doing my research I stumbled upon this Gem and when I say the proof is in the pudding..... I ran the speed test on my 2021 m1 macbook pro16 in exfat because that's what it's formated to straight out the box and it was nice but not close enough to what it's advertised as but 2200 read & write is still really good but when I formated to apfs......🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ well you see the picture. I am very impressed!!!! I'll check back in and update if any changes. Oh by the way Sandisk 💩💩💩💩👎👎👎👎

I am very pleased with this SSD drive, which is extremely small and light, and it works with thunderbolt, so I can get very high speeds on my M1 iMac. Even higher than the internal SSD. I can only recommend it.

I’m impressed by the small size of the drive and enjoy the built-in MagSafe to attach it to the back of my phone!I primarily intend to use this drive to transfer Insta360 8k video files between my iOS and macOS devices, for video editing and transferring.I tested copying a folder with 400 Insta360 files that totaled 147 GB from the EX400U to three of my devices. My Mac Studio M2 Pro (using a rear port for Thunderbolt 4) could do the transfer in 262 seconds, which works out to 4.77 Gbps! My MacBook M3 Pro did even better, at 218 seconds. That’s 5.73 Gbps! Even my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which doesn’t have a Thunderbolt 4 port did very well. The iPhone took 404 seconds, which is 3.09 Gbps. For the macOS devices, I watched the Activity Monitor for Disk transfer. The transfer began at a very high rate for about two seconds (seemingly near theoretical 40 Gbps, likely due to it's cache burst), then continued to transfer at a steady rate over the next few minutes to achieve the results mentioned above. These are great real world results! In my opinion, anyway. :)The drive was instantly recognized in all three devices (Studio, MacBook, and iPhone). It warmed up a little during transfer, but didn’t get hot. I opened the files from the EX400U in Insta360 Studio, and could perform editing and saving to the drive without any issue or lag in the app.I think this drive is a keeper! I’ll update my review if I find any significant problems over the long term, but wanted to get a quick review up to help others who might be looking at this drive.
