I believe what I received is not what was advertised and poor quality.Yarn: The yarn from the picture doesn’t look like the yarn I received. It looks much thinner. Furthermore, the yarn quality is very poor. The individual strands come undone easily. The little hook they give you easily gets caught between these strands.Other materials: The scissors don’t work. They are dull and don’t cut the yarn.Instructions: They don’t truly have step-by-step instruction videos on how to crochet this plushie. What they have are videos on how to perform the stitches that the written instructions call for. On top of that, the written instructions are too vague. For example, it calls for you to create a magic ring, but it doesn’t state how many stitches to put in the magic ring.Technique: just noting that the instructor in the video alternates between doing “yarn over” and “yarn under” during the stitches. Perhaps it was intentional but typically “yarn over” is the standard.I won’t be ordering from them again.

I loved this kit!!! I went in with a little bit of experience from another kit and found this to be a slight increase in difficulty, so total beginners might find this tricky. There's a lack of explanation on how to sew the pieces together — if you're experienced in crochet then you'll be fine, but it was my first time stitching pieces together so I had to just wing it and try to use common sense to figure it out. It turned out pretty good, though! It's also worth mentioning that I ended up with the EXACT amount that I needed of the creamy white yarn, to the point where I had to be a little stingy while sewing up at the end, because I couldn't afford to leave longer yarn tails on the ears or I would've run out. So just be aware of that and try not to waste the yarn — it does come with a separate mini ball of plain white yarn to practice on, so you don't have to use up the yarn for the actual project. The final result is soooo adorable and totally worth it!! I had some extra red yarn so I added a little neck tie, and I named her Annie :)

I named her Mochi and I love her with my whole heart. I finished her at the airport on the way to California and she quickly became my travel buddy 😂 I even made her a little scarf so she wouldn’t be cold. We took pictures of Mochi wherever we went and now she just goes everywhere with me 🤣☺️

This was the first thing I've ever crocheted. Took me four days to complete. Probably would have been easier had I attempted a 1-star difficulty first. But this was so cute! I couldn't pass it up. I would recommend it!It is smaller than I anticipated, but my string tension is probably inconsistent. I never ran out of material and actually had enough yarn to redo the head. The instruction video was helpful, but the accent of the instructor was difficult to understand sometimes. I had to use other how-to videos for clarification on increases and decreases, for example. She also occasionally just shows you how to do things with no verbal or written instruction. Like embroidering the nose, for example.

It might say for beginners but that must mean amateur not novice. If you’ve never done it before, then this may not be what you want to start with.
