I love this except for one thing. The lid is of course very heavy and it only has the small knob for lifting. If the top was taller it would be better and easier to grab. Having to remove the lid when it is hot in the oven with my sourdough bread takes some special handling. I need to use both gloved hands, one on the top and then on the under edge because it is so heavy and I don't want to drop it. They could improve by making the knob taller. I think I did see one item like that and was wondering why so tall. Now I know that would be a good feature.

It’s 1/3 the price of the famous brand ones. It’s beautiful, of good quality, and works as advertised. I no longer have to worry about burning myself dropping the dough into a Dutch oven.

Enameled Cast Iron Round Bread Oven: $109.99 at the time of reviewI've used a bread maker for many years, and just recently gotten into baking bread in the oven. It's a complicated process and I've had limited success so far, but I'm soldering on. One of the things that I think could be improved is what I bake the bread in. So of course, when I saw this red with black embellished enameled Cast-iron bread oven (That matches the color scheme of my other enameled cast-iron cookware), I knew I had to have it.*What I liked*:Did I mention that this thing is gorgeous? The craftsmanship of this bread oven is excellent. The cast-iron body and lid are heavy (as you would expect them to be). The enamel coating is flawless across the body of both pieces. The floor of the base also has raised wavy lines to aid in the baking process (and presumably to help keep the bread from sticking). This thing is perfect for making Beautiful boules. At 10 inches around, it's just the right size to make a loaf of bread. While I also have a Dutch oven, if you don't, this could be used in a pinch. I wouldn't use it to cook something that is too wet as the base is only about 2 inches deep, but this would make a good roaster for a chicken or similarly sized meat.*What I didn't like*:The only complaint I was going to list here is the price. At $110 for a single pot, it better be worth it. But I won't even complain about that. I did a price comparison on Amazon and other similar 10 inch enamel cast-iron bread ovens are within $5 or $10 of this price (over and under).*The Bottom Line:*I am in love with this spread oven. It is such a gorgeous piece of cookware. It makes excellent 10 inch round boules And can sub in for a roaster if you need it. I have absolutely nothing negative to say here. This is a really beautiful piece of cookware. If this isn't worth five stars out of five I don't know what is. I would definitely order this over again.

Been baking bread a few years now and I have a couple dutch ovens. This is by far the prettiest looking one. It funtions well though for round artisan loaves. I use at an initial 500f for the first 20 minutes and it did well.

I used the bread oven for the 1st time the other day and my gluten free sourdough baked perfectly. I’m very impressed with how it works and it’s also beautiful.
