Der angebliche Gleitschutz hält leider überhaupt nicht. Der Teppich rutscht weiterhin hin und her und der hässliche Gleitschutz ist zudem noch zu sehen.... dann lieber ohne!

Rug underlays are a brilliant means by which to stop rug creep, as well as reducing the potential for a rug to become a trip hazard. It is basically a very sticky fabric that should cover the entire underside of your rug and then stick it like glue to your carpet or hard floor (they are usually different depending on flooring and I imagine that the one for hard floors will be less sticky to avoid damage to the surface). Don’t be tempted to get a size smaller as that will leave edges loose and the underlay is more likely to fail, go a size larger and trim.Once in place, you need to avoid moving your rug as that will reduce the tackiness of the underlay and it will start to fail. For that reason, application is ideally a two person job so you can correctly position the rug the first time. I have done it on my own in the past, but it isn’t as easy to do as you might think. This underlay is particularly sticky and it is also sized larger than quoted; I don’t believe it stretched as the excess that needed to be removed was even all around. So I had to trim it even though it should have been the exact size for my rug.I turn the rug upside down and then place the underlay into position, trimming away any excess. Turn the rug over and then lay it onto the carpet (or hard floor) and that’s it. The stick develops over time, but is sufficient from the first fix to stop movement. You can peel the rug away again, but there will be some stickiness remaining, in my experience, on both rug and carpet, so you will need to wash the carpet if you ever decide to do away with a rug held down with underlay.I have used this on a new rug on my landing that had been put down using the previous underlay and had been moving. It is now stuck in place again and no longer on the move. I will be happy to get the same version when another rug needs a new underlay.

Bought this as 30 times a day our rug was creeping across the carpet towards our tv unit. I've only had it on for 4 hours but wow. It hasn't moved in the slightest!It is a giant sheet where both sides are slightly sticky. I flipped the rug upside down and lay the sheet on top then cut it roughly down to size, peeled off one layer of plastic cover and stuck it down (it doesn't stick ridiculously, just tacky as i said).When we peeled off the cover of the side to go on the carpet we did realise the material stretches slightly so had to trim more to make sure there was no visible excess, but flipped it the right way up and it's worked perfectly.Walked across it dozens of times this evening and it hasn't shifted at all. We also found that it is still easy to lift off and reposition the rug so very convenient.UPDATE: 3 weeks later and my rug still hasn't moved in the slightest! Brilliant!Further update: I bought this in 2018, we are now about to enter 2022, my rug still hasn't moved despite hoovering, carpet cleaning and kids running full pelt across it. 5 stars all the way!

Works better than any other design i have tried on wood floors the rug does not move! ....but does leave residue on floor if you want to move rug which can be removed with specific products fit for purpose...

I bit of a nightmare to fit but once done it does indeed stop your rug moving. This is a one hit wonder so no repositioning. We have a very large square area rug in the center of our front room that would just walk and ridge up once our coffee table was placed upon it. Dove me mad and I was just about to get rid of the rug or the coffee table or both when I came across this product. I did not expect it to work to be honest, especially for the ridging due to the weight of my table. Well I was wrong, it has worked a treat. We worked out which was the sticker side of the pad, not as easy as it sounds, then peeled off the covering for this side and stuck it to the bottom of the rug. We then attempted to peel off the covering of the other side. Again easier said than done. You need to go slowly and take your time. We then attempted to flip the rug with the help of our kiddos. It didn't work. The pad did not stay stuck to the back of the rug it just fell off. In the end we carefully lifted the sticky pad and spread it out on the carpet. We rolled up the rug and then positioned one edge in the correct position and then rolled the rug onto the sticky pad. This worked and luckily we hit the perfect position first time. The pad stretched a bit when we manhandled it but it doesn't seem to have caused any issue to the way it works. Coffee table positioned in the center and still all was good and continues to be. Pain to fit but worth the time if you can not get your rug to stay put. Hoping it doesn't leave any sticky residue on my carpet when the time comes to take the rug up.UPDATE: July 2021 It has left a tacky residue on our main carpet. We lifted the rug to replace it as a friends puppy had had a good chew at one edge & damaged it. You can feel the left behind tackiness with your hand. I have washed the carpet, by hand, with a diluted cleaning solution in the hope it would break down the sticky and lift it. It didn't. I also used carpet cleaning machine but again it hasn't properly lifted it. It is slightly better but still present. Carpet is effectively ruined. We have found a replacement rug that is the same size as the previous one & will stick this one down as well as the carpet surface in this area is already ruined.
