So pleased with this. Bought for my hubby’s birthday to play his albums he has not heard for sometime. I was surprised with the quality of sound, not expecting it to be as good as our speakers. It was brilliant. For our small lounge we would not need anything more as the sound is crystal clear. Functions of Bluetooth, cassette and CD are also good.The quality of this item is very good.Would recommend.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Anlage, um meine alten Schallplatten abspielen bzw. digitalisieren zu können. Aufgrund der Optik habe ich mich für dieses Denver-Gerät entschieden, da es auch von der Farbe her zu meiner "Old-Style"-Bar passt. Nach dem Auspacken kam eine kleiner Rückschlag - es ist kein europäischer Stecker montiert, sondern ein englischer. Dies sollte in der Beschreibung angegeben werden. Als auf ins Elektrogeschäft und einen Adapter gekauft (Kosten ca. € 10,--). Danach gab es keinerlei Probleme mehr. Das Einrichten des Gerätes ist fast selbsterklärend (natürlich alles in - leicht verständlicher - englischer Sprache). Der Radioempfang (DAB und FM) ist relativ gut. Auch das Abspielen von CD's funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Plattenspieler kann alle gängigen Schallplatten abspielen - und das in einer relativ guten Tonqualität. Ich habe bis jetzt ca. 150 Singles problemlos digitalisiert - alle Aufnahmen waren in Ordnung. Eine Software zur Verbesserung der Aufnahmen ist nicht dabei - jedoch gibt es dafür jede Menge Gratisprogramme im Internet. Das Abspielen von Musik-Kassetten habe ich noch nicht getestet (da ich keine habe :-). Bis jetzt bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden - die Optik entspricht den Fotos, das Gehäuse macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Auch die Bedienelemente (Druck- bzw. Drehknöpfe) fühlen sich stabil an. Auch die dazugehörige Fernbedienung ist gut und das Gerät regiert flott auf Befehle der FB. Bis jetzt bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden. Man muss sich jedoch auch bewusst sein, dass man keine "echte" HIFI-Anlage hat - die Tonqualität ist aber mehr als ausreichend. Man kann das Teil aber auch an eine Anlage anschließen (nicht getestet).Positiv: Optik - stabiles Gehäuse - Funktionen wie angegeben - leichte Einrichtung - relativ guter TonNegativ: Kein EU-Stecker (Adapter erforderlich) - Beim Tonarm des Plattenspielers lässt sich der "Auflagedruck" nicht einstellen - die automatische Rückführung des Tonarms am Ende der Platte funktioniert zeitweise nicht richtig (diese Funktion habe ich ausgeschalten, da der Tonarm sonst manchmal vor dem Ende der Schallplatte "abhebt")Ich würde dieses Gerät empfehlen

Initially I had to send the first one back. And credit to 3wisemonkeys, they made that process very easy. I'm fairly certain i received the same item back, about 10 days later, working this time! Overall, I would say it's ok. It has many functions, which are not easily understood. The record deck is ok, not as smooth as my old system. The sound quality, however, is not great. Not much volume, and not great quality. I'm not a great music fan, but if you really like listening to music this probably isn't for you. If you want all the different functions, then this is not a bad option (sound/volume aside). I'm neither raving about this, nor really disappointed.

Superb sound quality, great look. Great support from supplier (ThreeWiseMonkeys). They include their own Quick Setup Guide, which was easy to follow. And even though I didn't need it they sent an email a while after my purchase to ask if everything was OK, which it was - and still is. Much appreciated after sales support.Record deck is great, with a lifting arm, and a damper on the lifting arm - took a moment for me to realise what was happening with this, I thought the pick-up arm wasn't going back down again, but the 'drop' is so gentle that you needn't worry about scratching your beloved vinyl. Plays 33, 45 and 78rpm - just wish I'd kept all those 78s!The cassette tape deck looks like a bit of an afterthought, being tucked around the side, but it's great for transferring all your tapes to MP3. Keeping Vinyl is one thing as it doesn't degrade, but tapes will only fall apart over time (the glue holding the oxide to the backing ages and degrades, thereby shedding the oxide. So after a number of years they will become unplayable.) So the tape deck is more than adequate.Recording to mp3 is extremely easy. Just one button to press! It sometimes take a few seconds to start recording after the button is pressed, but I guess that is because it has to set up a MP3 file etc. Recording quality is excellent. It saves all those wires and special laptop based software I used to use!!The speakers on this unit are awesome. So clear, with a good stereo effect. Radio is now worth listening to again (FM and DAB), as are CDs - much better than playing them through the TV DVD player. Radio signal reception round here can be problematic, so I was prepared to run the aerial wire up the wall - DIDN'T NEED TO! I just dropped the aerial wire behind the table and it worked - brilliantly.My Sister-in-law was so impressed with the unit that she asked family to buy her one for her birthday. Other relations that came round at Christmas and were very impressed with the sound, if not with my choice of music. So there may be a third purchase on the way.No matter what your decor or style this unit fits well in any room (apart from a bathroom obviously!!)Plug it in, turn it on and enjoy music again - like we used to.

Having had 2 units similar to this one in the past,i have to say that in the 2 days i have owned this hi fi system,i am delighted,....Firstly the sound and volume is very good and i have discovered through the help of Jason from 3 Wisemonkeys,the selling company...that there is an Equaliser option that works via the remote control.On initial setting up i thought that the DAB did not work.It would scan many stations then just say no service available.Again,a contact with Jason resolved my issue and DAB works great.I am impressed with the tape player,that to me seems better than the ones i have had in the past,although of pretty well identical operaion.It just seems less fiddly on this Denver unit.CD Quality is superb.Regards the turntable,it usually means if you want top quality sound from Vinyl...that you need to pay out top class money for a top notch turntable system....However i have found the sound on the turntable on the one LP i have played so far,to be of very good quality....Perhaps can be improved by use of the Equaliser,in my case i would choose the Rock option,to give it a more bassier tone...Will try it,as when i played an LP last night was not aware of the Equaliser option,on the remote control.I have noticed that some people have asked if the tone arm returns to its original position at the end of a play.The relies have been no.When i played my LP,id didn`t return.The turntable stopped and i lifted the arm back to its rest.Whilst doing this the turntable turns briefly again,then stops.The Switch on the turntable i have got set to auto stop.....Now having read the instruction manual....item number 9....on the playing vinyl records section...it does say that when the tone arm reaches the end of the record,it automatically returns to the tone arm rest and the record player stops.I can only assume if this is to be the case,you need to select Auto Stop OFF for this to happen.Have not tried it as yet.Its no problem to me that it might not return...But i mention this because in the manual it says it will.Just need to try it....and i have noticed comments of how other peoples tone arms have not returned.....So to finish,very impressed with this lovely item.Its a good price and my delivery was next day...And to recap....Customer Service from Jason at 3 Wise Monkeys,really is top class.I was planning on returning my unit,thinking the DAB didn`t work !!!! Till Jason advised.....Go on,buy one...It makes sense !!..Just checked...The Needle tone arm does not return...despite saying it does in the manual...I think the only thing lets the item down is the manual which needs updating a bit...BUT STILL GREAT ITEM,GREAT SERVICE....I found selecting FLAT on the Equaliser and turning up Volume created a better sound on the vinyl...iF THAT`S OF ANY HELP.

I have given this one star as I have had to return it. When I first got the thing onto a table and inspected it I noticed a small dent on the top of the inside edge of the fixed cover. That should not have been there of course. It was not sufficient in itself to reject the item but I became dissatisfied with the operation of a number of features. They were - 1. it would not record from the radio. Not at all from FM and on DAB I could get an mp3 file which had no sound on it. When I recorded the sound cut out from the speakers. I didn't know if that was normal or not. 2. Station presetting was mostly failure. Holding and holding the preset down and nothing happened usually - it did work but only sometimes. The instructions did not say how to alter a preset, for some reason, and I had to assume that any preset would be over written if one wanted to change it to another station by going thro the preset procedure. Nothing happened and I was left with several useless presets. 3. the +10 button on the remote was useless - all it would do was change the counter by one track at a time. Nothing would happen though, the counter reset itself to whatever was playing at the time. I did consult 3 Wisemonkeys on these issues and at the end of the day had to return the item as it just wasn't up to expectations. I found that regretful as the item did look nice. Anyway I did spot on many of the customer reviews that it was quite common for there to be like 10% of people giving items of this sort a one star rating. This one was a bit less than that I think but nevertheless once bitten twice shy as they say.
