My oldest is learning to snowboard and with that comes much trial and error. There have been a lot of falls but with these padded shorts, he has not hurt himself at all. The protection it provides really avoids injury and makes the fall less of an impact. The fit is pretty spot on over a pair of jogging pants, under the snow suit. He hasn't tried to put them on over his snow suit but we figure it will probably be too tight that way. Overall, they are a great way to learn and improve your skill without fear of injury. Recommended!

Snowboarder here. It's awesome just how much more time these keep me on the slope. What would normally bruise me up is just an inconvenience now. Paired with some knee pads and wrist guards, I'm so much more confident and less sore after hours in a terrain park. They are flexible and keep you warm so I wear them as a base layer with the kneepads. In my opinion this is an essential peice of gear and I will always wear them now. Good value for price

I use these for snowboarding and they are great for protecting my tailbone.

It’ll get the job done, but frankly tailbone protection is not something you want to cheap out on— I like these specific crash pants because I already know how to fall, so the protection pads help me slide easier to disperse the impact. However, beginners will not fall this way. You will almost always land directly on your coccyx when you’re new (it’s instinctive), and these aren’t the greatest for any direct impact. The shock absorption just isn’t sufficient for any condition beyond powder. Still, these are BETTER THAN NOTHING— and have lessened the pain I experienced from some serious falls, maybe even literally saved my butt.If you fracture a tailbone it’ll never be the same. Save yourself the risk and get the D30 azzpads or something. More expensive, but not as emotionally expensive as years of donut pillows and regret because you can’t sit properly.Fit wise, the chart was accurate. Pretty discreet under the snow pants, but I tend to wear a baggier style.Shred safe y’all 🤟

Great padded shorts for those who are learning any snow sports whether it be skiing/snowboarding or ice skating. The shorts are easy to put on with the front velcro - wearing it ontop or under your pants is still comfortable given the light flex of the material.Material is a semi slippery/stretchy plastic which breathes fairly well - If you do get some water/snow on it - it'll brush off easily and not soak you.The padding is ample on all the regions you'll likely fall on - Hips, butt, hip bone, thighs, etc.One thing that I really like about these padded shorts compared to competition is that the larger pads can be removed as there is an inner pocket which allows you to pull out pads you think you won't need (i.e I don't use the thigh pads)Has definitely saved my butt a few times while practicing jumps for figure skating.Recommend for beginners or those who are intermediate/advanced who are trying to get more air time/tricks.
