I wanted this DollaTek XD-61 MT8870 DTMF Decoding Module for a project requiring dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) decoding over a radio link, I used AtMega to control channel changing, and I’m quite impressed with its reliability and precision. The MT8870 chip quickly and accurately decodes DTMF tones and provides a 4-bit binary output that integrates well with the microcontroller.
