Quality and casts light lures a mile. You don't need to spend hundreds unless you just want to brag about your name brand reel.

I have 3 of the GKA200s . I have the shallow spool in 2 of them .but have the shallow spool for the 3rd one as well . I bought them thinking this model was no longer available and when I saw it was available I grabbed one up before they sold or again and I'm glad I did . I have it paired up on a medium light action/ fast speed rod for semi to full BFS casting and it works well with everything I've tossed from 1/32oz to 3/8oz . Granted it takes major adjustments to go to one of the extremes and back but I usually stay close to the same weight , whether it be a jig , crankbait , swimmer , shaky , or top water only changing weights a little at a time . I can't throw a 1/32 as far as a 3/8 by any means but I am casting very light lures farther with my Dovellios than with my Lews or Kastkings.I really like the balance and feel of this reel and contrary to many reviews online I prefer the handles over my other baitcasters . They are more sensitive when I get a nibble , go over a rock or stick , etc . with the 20# braid I'm using . I don't feel the bites in the rod but feel them in the crank handle before feeling it in the rod .The drag has been cooperative and is quieter than my other Dovellios . I believe the clicking drag noise to be gimmicky and a cheap imitation of the original Zebco 33 I still use and am glad it isn't as loud as the others . If it stops clicking I won't complain .The reel came with 5 extra bearings !!! Awesome !As I wrote prior this is my favorite baitcaster . The only way it'd be even better would be if it was a flat sheen instead of shiny . As someone else pointed out , the Brownie label on the cover is upside down .I appreciate the "unique" brake setup and the spool tensioner also works greatly .I haven't tried it out free spool top skip under trees yet but I have a feeling it'll be as easy to control as the others .

This reel for only 55 dollars is actually really nice for ultra light fishing! As other reviews will point out is has smooth drag, it's light weight, almost feels cheaply made. I've landed several bass with it since getting it and it operated smoothly through the fights and headshakes. My only real qualm is, i have taken it out twice, and both times my line during a backlash got caught between the spool and the housing meaning I had to cut off a good chunk of line, pull my lure in, and tie it all back up with 23 yards less of line. I'm using 4lb. test so maybe its just too narrow in diameter, maybe I should use 6 but I like 4. Once I stop backlashing it should be right as rain, just something to watch out for if you're new to baitcasters. Anyways I am happy with it!

This reel is definitely worth 50 bucks. I have fish with it a couple of months now and had no issues at all. The Reel casts light lures easily. No issues with line in the spool shaft. Largest fish caught on it so far is a 7 lb. Hybrid stripe in a swift river. Had no issues with the drag, seems smooth. I own several other B.F.S reels brand name and Chinese. This reel performs well.

I wanted something o cast light weight lures. This fits the bill. I'm a novice at bait casters. This was easy to dial in for 1/8 oz lures. I get very few birds nests. The one's I do get is from casting into the wind. After catching some fish, it's still smooth.
