I have used these for years and have 5 pairs I use in various places. They cut nicely and last quiet awhile. Would like them to be harder, but for the price, I am not expecting Klein's.

Habe den Schneider fürs arbeiten mit Aluminium Draht gekauft. Es wird super geschnitten, einzig eine Feststell Klemme hätt ich mir gewünscht da sonst der drahtschneider stets offen herum liegt.

I'm seeing more and more of these "sharp" wire cutters, and it's both good and bad.It's good in these pliers are great for small work regarding softer materials, and it's bad in that these pliers' edges are too hardened, and so when used for cutting metal and wires, the edges break down quickly.I've got a set of pliers like these, and their edges are badly nicked and deformed from cutting wires. Prior to using them to cut wires, I used them to trim 3D printer filament, which is 1.75 mm in diameter (or just over 1/16" diameter) and they worked great for that. Again, the cutting edges started breaking down when I began cutting wires with them. Gauges ranged from 22 AWG to 14 AWG.So I'm just using these to cut 3D printer filament, and again, they're working just great for that. On occasion, I do work with Lexan sheets and I know these cutters will work great for small, precision trimming work.Can these cut wires? Absolutely. But I'm willing to bet that, like my old pair, they wouldn't last long if they are used to cut wire or other metallic materials like copper sheets. Hence my recommendation of using these only for non-metallic materials. The edges are too finely sharpened, and too hardened to last against cutting metal.
