Very disappointing shoe. Difficult to put on. Velcro side closures complicate ease of wearing. Even with my custom orthotic inserts, the shoe was uncomfortable to wear. The bottom of the shoe is noisy too and sounds like something Frankenstein wore. I knew within 10 minutes of receiving them that these were not shoes that I would ever wear and boxed them up for a return. The search continues....

I have no dislikes of this shoe. I have multiple serious lifetime issues of my feet. This shoe design allows me to wear a real looking shoe, at least for short distances. The entire front upper portion of the shoe opens up because it is velcro, just like a diabetic slipper basically. And it is deep, to handle the inserts I must use. So, there is no issue getting easily into the shoe, and then when you close the upper back unto the velcro, it is conforming exactly to the foot in the shoe. I consider this a excellent designed shoe for folks like me that are diabetic & have other foot issues that may require special inserts. The shoe size fit exactly.

The shoe is great for my big toe swelling/gout spell. Plenty of room - more than needed- so my toe does not rub up on the shoe. I wish there was more Velcro towards the back.

These were purchased as a Size 13, to fit an solid AFO (this particular AFO is best used with a 1/4” wedge under the heel to help propel the leg more easily through the forward walking phase).They fit true to size. The good foot is able to use the shoe with the orthopedic footbed in place. The bad foot, with the AFO needs space... and the footbed was easy to remove. If you don’t need a wedge, it works fine. And, it works great with the wedge too!The top piece pulls back easily for a simple procedure when applying the shoes.The Velcro on the top flap is very good quality. There should be more variety in shoes with this similar style in the world.Very, very pleased.The only other shoes I have found that are similar, are by a company called Billy Shoes, which have a zipper *around* the top of the foot, in a similar concept. Currently, they are mainly making them for kids with challenges. But, my hope is that they will branch out into more adult footwear.
