The Kindle version is a great.I haven't read the books so cant discuses how close it follows the plot, but as a comic story its great and easy to follow, with great graphic. I would highly recommend give it a try.

The page-turner component works well. The artwork is OK. The mother is most skilfully drawn, but some others are not. Overall, it is a good story that is well drawn.

The art work is solid, but the presentation of things, planets, starships, battles, the big views of things in general, lacks atmosphere and size and therefore doesn't really nail the setting of a galactic novel. It's too "flat" in a way. That at least was my thought while rading it.The stoytelling and the transitions between its different places also appear to be a bit clumsy. It's okay but no `must have`for a true Dune fan.

I was fifteen the first time I read Frank Herbert’s classic, Dune. I was immediately swept away to his universe, and my imagination was immediately fed! Oh, what a diet of sight, sound, color, emotion, politics, warfare, and religion he fed me! The movie of this book (before there was one) unraveled in my mind, and I ingested every moment. It was such a delicious experience that I decided right then and there that I would revisit this wonderful place.Since that moment in 1981, there have been two movies, a miniseries, a graphic novel, and various other stories, as well as Frank Herbert’s son continuing the series with science Fiction author, Kevin J. Anderson. All of which is good. Please note I said good. With the exception of the continuing series by Herbert and Anderson, the images provided have not really lived up to what my imagination conjured up so long ago (and even now, since I am giving the original a re-read.), but that is not a knock against this book.Dune: The Graphic Novel is a lovely work of art. The art in it is simple, yet beautiful. Each page was deliciously drawn and colored and added to what my imagination conjured up. The pages are thick in this book, which made me feel like I was skipping ahead, but in reality, I wasn’t. A major plus for this book is that it brought back all of those feeling from when I first read Frank Herbert’s novel.I am looking forward to getting my hands on volume 2. It is on several wish lists, and my wife knows what a Dune fan I am.All in all I give this book 4.5 bookmarks out of 5!

I’ve been trying to read the actual book so many times and got discouraged every time cause it’s so dense. I feel the graphic novel is much more enjoyable and an easy read (it only took me a few days) with beautiful images that are true to the original book.

This was a gift from my son. I enjoyed the format on the tablet. The script was crisp and true to the original. Looking for to the sequels!

Obviously Dune deserves a graphic novel. We just need more of them.

This graphic novel is a great interpretation of the first part of the original Dune book. However, i wish it was stylistically more closely related to Denis Villeneuve's 2021 Dune (in more that just the DUNE title font) because i really like some of his choices such as the brave casting of Liet Kynes as a black woman. But other than that, it's great! Too bad that part 2 wont be out until Spring of 2022, though!
