Removed hardly any of previous dye

Didn't really strip out much colour at all, I ended up bleaching the item I wanted to dye to really strip the colour back

Good product, but you do need to buy enough for the weight of fabric you have, do not skimp.

Obeyed instructions on box to letter (100% cotton velvet, not dark green/blue, machine a front-loader, etc). No effect. Sent photos to Dylon illustrating this. They sent an A4 SIZE QUESTIONNAIRE including questions like 'Is your machine a front-loader?' (in case you hadn't bothered reading the box) of which I reproduce a portion below. Sacrificed a wee bit of hem in the interests of justice. Form apparently did not arrive. Requested and received a second form. Sacrificed second bit of hem. FINALLY got a reply saying that "it would appear that it has a special finish" (a nifty conditional there) and that "Dylon Pre-Dye is not suitable for fabrics with a special finish". 'Finishes', the characteristics and stubborn qualities thereof, do not feature in instructions.
