I got this to keep Maldon salt in as it gets cumbersome pulling out the large tub it comes in, and this works great while looking good on my table. It holds enough to last a few weeks with normal use and the little spoon makes it easy to serve as much as necessary. The metal frame is solid and holds the glass securely in place. The slot in the lid for the spoon also works great, and the whole thing looks good.

Straight to the recycling bin. The metal feels flimsy and cheap, with the edges barely burred smooth. The glass bowl sits inside the metal ring, but does not completely cover the bowl as is should. The result? Hydroscopic sugar pulling moisture out of the air and clumping. Given that as a choice, you are better off leaving the sugar in its bag.Grab a small glass jar and reuse, reduce, recycle.

This is a great little dish and it's really only missing one feature: a thumb handle to flip the top. (If you can't picture it, google Alton Brown's salt dish.) That would create one-handed operation of the sugar bowl itself, freeing the other hand to use the spoon. I may see if it's possible to add one sort of after-market, maybe something decorative. I'm otherwise pleased with the size and quality. I generally thing sugar dishes hold far too much, not because sUgAr BaD or some other nonsense, but because sugar in a bowl gets icky if everyone using it isn't neat about it, like using the sugar spoon to stir and putting it back in to make the gross little clumps. I don't generally throw out a lot of sugar, but after a gathering, for example, I prefer to dispose of unused bits and bobs that folks have been breathing on/touching/putting directly in their cups/dishes. A smaller sugar bowl can be filled to an appropriate look without wasting too much.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Extremely attractive in form and function. This glass sugar bowl is pleasing to the eye in its contemporary style. Unfortunately when the lid is shut, due to the sugar spoon opening, it’s not a completely closed bowl so overtime air will get into the bowl. It’s obvious in the seller’s pictures so not dinging their review for a wish list. Will enjoy for years to come. Highly recommend!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
