Love the look of this stapler but I am on my 3rd one, they break after about 6 months

Sehr stylischer Tacker, gute Funktion, tut was er soll.Ich habe 58 Euro hier bei Amazon bezahlt. Was ich schon als absurd viel empfunden habe und objektiv auch ist. Es musste halt sein.Nun ist er für 105 Euro und 47 Cent zu haben. Das wäre er mir definitiv nicht wert.

As office supplies shrink to fit home offices and whatnot, we have to deal with flimsy, breakable staplers that work less than half of the time. Somehow, I lucked onto El Casco and it will be my forever stapler. I like that the company was founded in 1920 in the Basque country and that the stapler has an almost steampunk sensibility. It would look right at home on Sam Spade's desk, only to be swept to the floor when the sultry blonde sashays in. Because it's sturdy, it would, of course, go right back on the desk. Sure, it's pricey, but if you add up all the staplers I've had to junk over the years, it would have earned itself out. Oh, and did I mention how satisfying it is to actually use? None of this squeezing, no siree, you get to give it a very satisfying whack and get a veritable thunk in return. Also, too, plus, you can turn the striking plate, if for some reason, you want your staples to flip out to the sides, instead of closing in the regular way. (Taking a quick break to cast an adoring glance at stapler.) So good to have the stapler issue resolved.

It is smaller than I expected but is pretty and works perfectly

This is a beautiful stapler. I had already purchased an El Casco sticky holder as a gift and was so pleased I will continue to purchase from this company. Very sturdy and well made. Would look good on any desk.

Holds not enough stapes, and it opens up when you lift it off a table - but built very well and works like a champ.
