i liked the way the board is layed out with pads that are connected so you can share connections.

This is a fabulous kit. I've tried veroboard to make my Arduino MEGA projects permanent. It has everything you need and is also suitable for development using the included wires and screw terminals. I like this as the PCB has been well thought out, its easy to create positive and negative rails that are easy to tie into your components. There are well thought out holes and pads available to solder your components to so you may connect them to the MEGA board or off board case components such as rotary encoders, switches and displays. I like the expanded digital end connector allowing for multiple connections. There is also easy access to incorporate both DIL standard and surface mount integrated circuits. These boards allow quicker breadboard transfer than using 0.1 veroboard given the offset layout of the MEGA headers. Because they use bonded through holes in pairs it's easy to connect everything up. It's very much better than some proto boards that need lots of underside jumper wires. Like all modern PCBs don't go mad on the soldering heat. I think it's absolutly great for the intermediate to experienced user and won't go back to veroboard for mid to complex MEGA projects. Reccomended.

Wow. Six stars for design:- Connected pads, finally!- And the board itself has connections to the Arduino pinouts, so you don't need to connect external wires from the Arduino outputs to get them connected. HALLELUJAH. I have genuinely wondered why on earth no-one else seems to do this on shields.- And easy access to great plentiful and long GND and 5V tracks.- All pins incredibly well documented on the board itself - on both sides. Wow.This board finally answers my question "geez, why isn't anyone doing shields right??" - these guys are.Design is good, but so is execution: The plating made soldering the gazillion pin connectors very easy: it was as though the pads simply sucked up the solder all by itself... and I have seen no QC issues so far.The extra pins on the end are a nice touch. I can see why they did it: they needed space for pinouts of pins D22-27, but they made this design issue into an advantage by adding more connected pads and extra 5V/GND tracks..Several people mentioned thin pins. I have not seen this. If you do see it, I would think contact spray would help fix that. Someone else mentioned XDA and XCL not having a bus: true, but because of all the extra connected pins you can create your own easily enough, no?The only addition I would like is a few of the connected pads one more position further apart, so that I can more easily connect to breakout boards whose pins are four positions apart, rather than three (like my little logic level shifter board). This board is genius. I'll use them exclusively, going forward. I wonder, do these guys also make similar boards for the Arduino R3 and Arduino Nano?
