I recently got this USB endoscope camera for some of my projects. I needed to check some cables above the basement ceiling, which is drywall sealed with a small opening. This camera made it easy to see inside full of pipes and wires. The build quality is solid, and it’s fairly easy to operate but needs practice to achieve better results. I taped an “up” sign on the camera’s upright position to make my life easier. To operate, you need to download an app to your phone, then plug the camera into your phone (mine an android phone), and the app detects it right away. The camera’s resolution is quite clear within close range (like less than 5 inches), but it’s good enough since the cable is long and easy to bend to shape. The LEDs are bright enough to illuminate up to several feet in total darkness, perfect for home use. The LEDs brightness is also adjustable. The camera size is small, and the handy attachments like the mirror and hook, which also helped me retrieve items from wall voids with ease. One minor downside is that the focal length is quite small, it provides very clear images up close to like 3-5 inches, and then the image quality degrades beyond that, somewhat out of focus. But overall, it’s an excellent, reliable tool that’s going to save you a lot of money hiring contractors.

I ordered this camera for checking the interior of acoustic guitars, which can be tricky to work on when you're adjusting the bracing or running cables from controls/pickups.It's not my profession, however, so I don't really need a dedicated endoscope, so this was a nice affordable solution - no dedicated screen or base unit to take up storage space for something I'd only use occasionally. The cable is quite stiff. This makes it easy to place in hard to reach places and and angle the way you want... but occasionally, it's this very property that makes orienting it sometimes a bit frustrating, as you don't intuitively always know which way is "up". I like the hook and the light, and there are a couple of other accessory tips. I'd have liked a dedicated case to keep them organized — I'm prone to lose one or two of them in the bottom of a drawer, especially when mixed with other cables.

These endoscopes are very handy and useful to have around. They enable you to look into walls or other obscured places such as vents etc. This particular one has an 11.5-foot semi-rigid cable that can be bent and formed to look into tight places. The lead-in cable is flexible to make the connection to your phone or tablet easy and comfortable.Although it recommends a specific app to be installed on your phone, there are a wide variety of apps that work well with most endoscopes so if you already have a similar app installed, try it out first. I personally like to keep the number of apps on my phone to a minimum. The quality of the image is very good for this inexpensive endoscope that retails for only $39.99 at the time of this review. It is also waterproof making it suitable to check out sewer pipes, but it is not the best for pipes with multiple, or very tight bends as it becomes difficult to snake it through. The LED light at the end of this endoscope has 8 brightness settings which I find to be adequate. The only thing I don't like about this endoscope, is the attachments are held on with a plastic clip. This clip can easily break if you snag the attachment on something. The fact that they give you two extra clips is a testament to this problem. I would have preferred that they used metal screw-on attachments instead. For this reason, I give this product 4 out of 5 stars.I do recommend this endoscope for light-duty use around the home. It will be perfectly fine for the average home owner who occasionally needs to take a look at a hard-to-reach location.

The endoscope turns out to be a very handy tool for my hobby as a radio control airplane pilot. The QzkBoeo USB Endoscope Camera with Light for iPhone and Android devices is a welcome tool in my house. I’ve used it for more things than I originally considered it for. Fishing the scope to the area behind my refrigerator, I found a soup ladle and an old cutting board that somehow fell behind there. I’ve also used it to see how dirty my electric floorboard heaters were between the fins; an eye-opener because of my 2 dogs! I once dropped a special screw through my patio deck boards and couldn’t quite get at it, to retrieve it. This endoscope with the bendable neck and magnetic end attachment would have saved my day if I had it back then.My main use for this endoscope with camera and light is to inspect servo push rods and wiring connections inside the fuselage and wing space of my hobby grade radio control aircraft. This is a big time saver for me and puts my mind at ease after any kind of an “incident” during my RC flights. I wish that I had thought of this tool years ago, for my hobby! The process for connecting it to my USB-C Android phone was very easy. The software app, which I really like, is very easy to use – intuitive and works very well. I can snap photos and also record videos of what the snake camera is seeing. I like that the light gets its power from my USB port on my phone, rather than needing a charger, or separate plug. A very good feature is the convenient in-line brightness knob, making it easy to adjust the amount of light coming out at the end of the endoscope, for the camera. The snake is bendable and is semi-rigid enough to hold its shape for feeding the camera into small areas. One thing that is worth mentioning is that I found it took a bit of practice figuring out how to manipulate the snake so that the camera was rotated in the right orientation for viewing on my phone. It's a little tricky, but once I got the hang of it, it got easier. The picture quality of the camera is good enough. – See pictures.I recommend the QzkBoeo USB Endoscope Camera with Light for iPhone & Android, for use in the radio control aircraft hobby. It’s also great for other uses, as well. I’ll be using it when I remove my car door panels next month, inspecting the window system. I give this endoscope with a camera and light, 4 stars.

I own two other endoscope cameras dedicated to plumbing and automotive work, but I’ve wanted a third for all-purpose around-the-house use. This endoscope from QzkBoeo is a perfect fit. At 11.5’, it’s more manageable for everyday tasks and is easier to wield than longer ones when it’s attached to my smartphone. The 2-megapixel camera gives convenience store surveillance camera quality imagery but excels at focusing on things as close as an inch away. This is perfect for me when my old eyes can’t quite find a focal length of their own. The tubing is flexible and can support its weight easily at 5’ in length. The smooth rubber coating wipes down easily with mild dish soap and water. There is no power source on this camera, relying on your phone to power both the camera and the LED lights, which incidentally, are very bright and provide all the illumination you’ll need. All three attachments fit snuggly on a groove around the head of the camera and have considerable holding power, but your mileage may vary depending on your application. The manufacturer recommends using their app, but I have successfully tested numerous brands of endoscopes with the Open Camera app on Android.
