This thing has some nice glass in it. All the colors look very true. Nothing looks washed out or over bloomed with chromatic aberration. Light transition is good for a 25mm. Rain, heavy snow, dawn, dusk, it just performs well. Overall I’d say it’s well worth the $100 if you’re looking for a step above average monoculars.

sehr klein, für unterwegs sicherlich gut, ging zurück, da für Brillenträger dann der Bildausschnitt einfach zu klein wird.

Ein klarer und hellen Durchblick. Tauchen wollte ich nicht mit dem Okular. Für unterwegs ist leicht und kompakt. Alles Primär.

Probably a good scope, just not what’s pictured. I was looking forward to the focus style in the pic, but this came instead. 8x25 model isn’t pictured anywhere. Just be aware of what you’ll get for $75. Received it today ... I’m returning it today.

Ottima qualita' in un formato compatto - ideale per trekking, uscite giornalieri, gite in bici ecc. dove peso e compattezza sono fattori importanti. Ma anche in citta', per vedere monumenti, architettura, castelli, chiese.Possiedo gia' il 8x25 Endurance ED come *binoculo* (e anche Minox, Leitz): sono piu' grandi e pesanti rimangono spesso (cioe' quasi sempre) a casa.

This is a review of the Hawke Endurance ED 8x25 monocular, in comparison with a Swarovski 8x20 compact binocular, and an Eden HD 8x42 monocular (June 2020). I own all three of these.Pocketability is excellent. Clearly fits in the category "always with you". I think this should be the main reason to buy it (see photo comparison).Build quality: feels good, but I have not put it to the test. Rubber housing feels nice; ergonomically, the focus ring is a bit close to the eye but is ok.Optics:I wear glasses and this limits the field of view on the Hawke. Sharpness and brightness are noticably less than the Eden (brightest of all) and Swarovski (ultimate sharpness and color). Using the Hawke without your glasses will give you a better field of view, but I don't see myself doing this because then I need to fiddle around with glasses in the field. I want to be able to take the monocular out of my pocket to quickly spot something.Price/quality ratio: with approx. 70 euros paid, I think it is good value for money.My recommendation:- I would buy the Hawke if you need true pocketability and are willing to sacrifice some optical quality. For the price you get a decent monoculair that you will always have with you, no need to carry a bag.- I would buy the Eden 8x42mm monocular if you want bright sharp images, large eye relief and exit pupil (very comfortable while wearing glasses) and are willing to sacrifice a bit of pocketability. The Eden is a bit clunky in your jacket pocket, but having seen the optical quality, and its ease of use, I personally have re-assessed my priorities and no longer want to go back to a smaller monocular and instead will accept the compactness compromise. Price/quality ratio also very good.- I would buy the Swarovski compact binocular if you want ultimate sharpness/color, and comfort for glass wearers. It is not ready as quickly as a monocuar as you need to adjust inter eye distance each time before focusing. Pocketability is better than the Eden 8x42, but less than the Hawke. Expensive, but you'll buy it for life.Overall verdict: Very pocketable, decent optics, less suitable for glass wearers, good price/quality ratio.

Sorry for writing in English. I just received the 8x25 and I must say I am quite impressed. It is small and well made. The optics show no faults and the ED glass works. I can see the same amount of detail as with my Nikon Monarch 7 8x42. Of course the full size binocular is somewhat more clear and easier on the eyes, but one would expect that for 6 times the price and 4 times the weight. Overall, very happy!

Nach einiger Recherche habe ich mich für dieses Monokular entschieden. Meine Anforderungen waren: möglichst klein und leicht und natürlich auch eine gute optische Leistung.Top:- Es ist klein und leicht und fällt deswegen auch nie zur Last.- Die Optik selbst ist für den Preis wirklich sehr gut! Haarscharfe Bilder, CAs nur in "Extremsituationen". Die Lichtleistung ist für eine 25er Optik sehr zufriedenstellend.- Die Abdeckungen als Zubehör (ist ja anscheinend nicht Standart bei Optiken, was ich nicht verstehe)Flop:- Die herausdrehbare Augenmuschel wackelt etwas, was den sonst wertigen Eindruck schmälert. Habe das Monokular tauschen lassen, das Zweite hat genau die gleiche Eigenschaft (scheint also per Design so zu sein).- Die Tasche werde ich nicht verwenden, da sie sehr stark aufträgt und den Vorteil des kompakten Designs zunichte macht.- Hawke Kundenservice glänzt nur durch SchweigenFazit:Trotz der Nachteile, um diesen Preis ein sehr wertiges Teil und Kaufempfehlung für jene, die eine Optik suchen die bei jeder Wanderung dabei sein kann und Preis/Leistung stimmt.
