Note that the input glass is more like 22 mm, and the exit pupil is not more than 7 mm.That is equivalent to approx. 3.2 magnification.Why is that not better, you might ask?- The relative brightness of 3x25 is 69.4, which is very bright and considered a night lens.- The relative brightness of 3.2x22 is 47.3, which is still bright but right below the threshold for considering it a night lens (>50).More importantly, the result is a lens that is only 68% as bright as expected had it indeed been 3x25.Details matter!An exit pupil of approximately 7 mm still feels pretty good, as in a dark room (with the human pupils dilated), you will still get a reasonably large perspective and not feel you are looking through a long tube, as would be the case if the binoculars' exit pupil is small.It is also a relatively good image but with some distortion at the edges. However, with the relatively large exit pupil, you still get a reasonably large image without distortion (see photos). However, the advertised 3x25 with an exit pupil 8.3 would have been much better! The two pictures through the lens were taken with a phone, magnification x2, and are the left and right lenses at 2 meters, which is also the minimal focus distance. BK7, I presume.On the positive side, the light perfectly resembles the surroundings, which will feel good when switching between the naked eye and binoculars. The lens drive (the focus knob) feels very stable and runs smoothly and effortlessly. The lenses seem made of glass without coating, which is reasonable as they are to be used indoors, and coating would probably only benefit the outside and take a bit of light. The overall craftmanship is good, and the item's weight feels like quality material without stressing the hands.Be aware that the binoculars do not have a dioptry possibility to set differences between eyes. However, they can be used with glasses without losing much because of the reasonably large exit pupil.One thing that I find pretty annoying is that inside, there seems to be a reflection of light from the room. In a theatre, that might disappear, but I fear it will still be visible with light from the scene. You can see the inside reflection on the picture of the exit pupil.Overall, I would have been more happy with an actual 3x25 lens.While the overall craftsmanship feels excellent, it still seems overpriced.Despite my concerns, a cheaper lens would not be as good as this item, so I'm happy with the purchase.However, I'm still more happy with my 2.1 x 32 binoculars. While clunky, they feature an extreme 15 mm exit pupil, so I feel fully immersed in the image. I will try them against each other at the next opera :)

I bought these as part of a birthday present and they were very well received. They are used regularly, and not always at the opera. They are just right for watching birds through the sitting room window at their feeders. They fit into a small handbag, they look great, and are not heavy to hold. Good value.

These opera glasses are so elegant and old-fashioned! They are light, fit well in my small bag and have the right magnification for theater performances. Nice quality. I wish they came with a chain or cord to wear around my neck.

Ich benutze der Glas bei Theater und Konzertbesuchen. Leicht kritisieren muss ich allerdings die Lieferung, die ohne vorherige Information zwei Tage früher als angekündigt erfolgte. Wir waren zu dem Zeitpunkt planmäßig nicht zu Hause. Im Briefkasten fanden wir nach der Rückkehr einen Zettel der DHL vor mit dem Hinweis darauf, dass wir das Päckchen am übernächsten Tag bei einer DHL Station abholen können. Das hat dann geklappt.

バレエやコンサート用に少し奮発して購入しました。プラスチック製品と比べて少し重さがあるのもゴージャスな雰囲気で気に入っています。

Dieses Opernglas ist sehr edel von der Haptik her und liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Man sieht damit sehr gut und sehr weit.

das Glas gefällt mir sehr gut, es eignet sich zum Sehen bei Konzerten, bessser wäre noch eine Schnur gewesen, damit es nicht immer gehalten werden muss.

An sich ein schönes Opernglas. Allerdings könnte die Verarbeitung besser sein, sind doch an manchen Stellen schon leichte Kratzer und Macken erkennbar. Der Beutel stinkt bestialisch nach Chemie und könnte auch schöner sein, aber den kann man natürlich leicht gegen etwas anderes austauschen. Das Scharfstellen und Kippen der Okulare funktioniert problemlos. Ein scharfes Bild wird also gewährleistet.

Binocolo da teatro Eschenbach 3x25 molto bello, elegante (colori e catena) e di qualità. Da consigliare agli amanti del genere.

Ich habe das Opernglas nach Erhalt gleich getestet...Wir waren in einem Musical und saßen in der letzten Reihen....ich konnte Dank dieses nützlichen kleinen Utensil das Geschehen auf der Bühne und sogar die Mimik der Schauspieler ganz gut erkennen obwohl wir ja wirklich weit weg saßen....dazu sieht es auch wirklich edel und etwas nostalgisch aus.Für mich hat sich der Kauf gelohnt.
