WowMy daughter’s coffee maker broke down and even with service wouldn’t make coffee. I bought this for her and this worked exceptionally well. I should have bought this first.

This is a decent portafilter and the additional baskets are a nice touch, however, the baskets with the portafilter are lower quality than that which come with most machines. The fit is a little too snug in the Sage Barista Pro.The original basket and the baskets which come with the product don’t fit tightly to the portafilter and can get stuck within the machine head.Despite the many flaws, it is excellent for brewing coffee and if you have WDT’d and tamped appropriately this will make a fantastic cup of coffee.Personally, I’m not in love with the product, but it is good value for money based on the cost paid. The wooden handle is a lovely touch, but it certainly isn’t a premium product, then again, it isn’t a premium price either!Big plus in its favour is that it is easier to clean, much easier than the standard portafilter with the majority of machines.

This bottomless portafilter looks and feels a quality product with a nice walnut wooden handle and good quality stainless steel head. It has a nice weighty feel to it, fits my Bambino Plus perfectly, and works fine with my 53mm sprung tamper producing a good quality espresso.You get both single and double shot bottomless baskets with the portafilter although I like a large espresso/cappuccino so have only used the double shot.One small point to note is that the handle is quite long and so looks a little out of scale when used with a compact espresso machine like the Bambino Plus.

This is a well-fitting, nicely made bottomless portafilter which is a must for a coffee nerd like me. The double shot basket takes my morning dose perfectly and the bottomless nature of the holder means I can watch the satisfying progress of my morning coffee.Avoid dishwashing it because the handle is real wood.
