I am keen cycle commuter, so I have 3 other high-viz cycle jackets of various ages. They're all size XL. However, the XL I ordered is a full size smaller than all my other coats. I can physically get the jacket on, but it is much snugger and the sleeves aren't as long.If there was a 2XL available I guess that's my size in this coat. I'm 6'4" (194cm) tall, and 185lbs (85Kg), so I am tall but not thick.

I really like it, I mountain bike paths and cycle routes for my health but in my old age I am getting a bit of a lightweight, I feel the cold and wet more easily so tend to wind down my season quite soon, I shouldn't really so was keen to get something more weatherproof to give me less excuses.This cosy jacket seems well made, its got an 8000mm rating which is good, its still not going to guarantee you stay dry up front as riding your hitting rain drops at some speed which forces them to penetrate more than just static head pressure. Its sure going to give you a good go though.Its a crinkly (noisy) Polyester which isn't entirely pleasant but is more effective against water than softer types.Its bright dayglo Yellow which is great for darker months when its wetter and the Grey areas are all reflective materials for extra safety.There are side pockets, a well protected rear pocket, adjustable cuffs. The zips are very stiff, maybe because new or maybe I will add a dab of silicon. A nice soft collar, flap protected back vent, armpit vents if you want them, I don't use them.Sizing, I ordered XL and it fits a shade snug, OK for a light layer underneath, I could probably have gone up if I wanted more layer but I can get away with one of my thermal layers under the XL size. You have to be careful in sizing these sort of garments as there is zero stretch so too small is too small full stop. Better to go up if unsure as there are plenty of toggles to take up some slack.There is a hood that is supposed to cover a helmet if needed, I always wear a helmet but not with a hood, too constrained for me but if you really need to get there without looking soggy it may suit you. Easily detached.Cycle stuff is not cheap, this is £40 which I don't think is bad for a good quality jacket, the only downside is I have less excuse to dodge getting out there.

Very beautiful jacket. Excellent brightness, Hi-viz yellow works well with strategically positioned reflector panels to provide excellent visibility both during the day and at night. As the nights grow longer for the commute to and from work, this is highly recommended. It is not a gossamer shell, but it is lightweight. I was worried that the heavy material climb home would cause me to perspire excessively, but it's actually no more sweaty than my last Hi-Viz.When you move, the fabric creates a slight crinkly sound. Its vivid yellow day glow is excellent during the day, while the grey sections on the front, arms, shoulders, and back improve visibility at night and provide additional security. There are two lower front pockets, an internal zipped pocket on the front breast, and a bigger, well-protected map pocket on the lower back. The zips are flawless. In addition, the jacket is breathable and waterproof. It is made to be worn over a helmet and features a completely adjustable detachable hood.The XL fits well and snugly, with room for a light layer underneath. There isn't enough room to move around, so you may feel uncomfortable while riding a bike, and the size may be a little small. The material is not stretchable.

Where this is primarily made for cycling enthusiasts, it's great that this is a high visibility jacket that is also waterproof. For my work I sometimes need to go outside when it's raining or wet, and where there are other vehicles being highly visible is a legal requirement.This jacket is close fitting with my clothes underneath, so it's not too cumbersome but also doesn't feel loose. There are some cooling ports that can help release your body heat and create air circulation.Overally, for the price and material, this is water proof and highly visible material, this is fine for the price and size, as often you either get a waterproof that is lightweight but is only water resistant, or a very large and waterproof parka.This is a good way in-between.
