I have AirTags on just about anything valuable that moves outside of the house - on my bags, suitcases, keys etc and even in my car! Some of them are in plastic “push to fit” holders that have never felt particularly safe to me and so I was excited to see these AirTag holders available on Amazon.They consist of a strong plastic hinged (at the base) clamshell-shaped case that is waterproof and is held together with a hex screw (an appropriate hex screwdriver is supplied). The case has a built-in strong steel cable that you can attach to a suitable loop on your belongings.(you can even open the case, unhook one side of the cable, wrap it around part of your bag, replace the side of the cable back in the case and then screw it back together .. which means that anyone would need a suitable hex screwdriver to remove the tag from your possessions)These really are a league above any other AirTag holder that I have experienced and feel very secure once attached to an item. I was at first a little concerned that the AirTag performance might be a little bit impaired by the fact that it is enclosed in a extra layer of plastic .. but in use I have found that there is little perceptible difference in performance (which makes sense bearing in mind that I have AirTags hidden inside my car and inside large suitcases etc and all of them perform really well). When you consider that AirTags are nearly £30 each (and that they have a long life because the battery can be easily replaced) and that you are going to place them on portable equipment/baggage etc of relatively high value then paying an extra fiver for a solid, waterproof and hard to tamper with case/holder is a good idea and not particularly expensive overall. Recommended.

Seems like a decent product, but second time using the screwdriver it was completely rounded out and I was unable to open up holder. So luckily I was at home not on a trip and needed to open it as needed a better quality Allan wrench. I hope that the only thing that they cheap out on. So make sure to bring your own Allan key with you.

Easy to use! Didn’t have to worry about it coming unclipped. Used it on our luggage on an out of country trip and it stayed secure the whole time!
