The kettle is great and with that whistle, we'll never let it boil dry. Only thing I don't like is the scrappy noise the lid makes when you take it off. Sort of "nails on blackboard".

Clyde, as this kettle is affectionately called, is a beautiful piece of design and one of the best looking on-hob kettles I have seen. A kettle like this however only needs to do two things; boil water and whistle to let you know when it has done so. On my hob, it achieves the first requirement as expected however, regardless of how much water is in the kettle or how long it is left boiling, the whistle makes no sound at all. With an on-hob kettle there is no automatic cut off once boiled so it is imperative that there is a whistle to alert you to the fact that the water is boiling. A kettle that does not do this is of no use. I’m disappointed as it is a lovely looking product that looks great in my kitchen but form should never overcome function and therefore, for that reason alone, I returned it.

Funktioniert auf Induktion, allerdings ist der Boden viel zu dünn und daher dafür völlig ungeeignet. Dauer bis das Wasser kocht ca. 12 Min. Die Pfeife funktioniert auch nicht und das bei einem Preis von ca. 140 €.

Pretty! Nice whistle! Junk. :( First the marble gets stuck in the spout so it won’t pour. Then the o-ring on the lid breaks so it doesn’t seal, so doesn’t whistle. Good luck getting that 10 cent part from seller. Jump through hoops trying, then throw kettle in trash.

I was hesitant to order this based on the negative reviews on Amazon and other sites, but have not experienced the issues others have shared. Is it slightly more finicky than other cheap kettles? Sure - for example, you can't fill through the spout, but rather have to take the lid off. Of course the lid fits tightly so the water can boil, so it requires a bit of strength to take it on and off. The whistle (which is very pleasant) uses a ball bearing in the spout, which sometimes requires a very slight shake to dislodge before pouring the water out. Like any other product with matte black finish, water stains and cooking splatter are more apparent than on a product with a shiny finish, but the kettle is easily wiped clean with a damp towel (or washed and air dried).If you trash this kettle and handle it without care, the finish might chip or the lid might break, but just... don't do that? I was choosing between this and the 3x more expensive Caraway kettle (which has its own share of bad reviews); very glad I went with this option.

La poignée ne chauffe pas, très bien.L’eau à l’intérieur reste chaude longtemps, super.Par contre, elle ne siffle pas du tout, donc il faut être attentif.
