Building my compact system in the Fractal Design Era ITX PC Case was a rewarding experience, and it complements the Minis Forum BD795i SE motherboard with the Ryzen 9 7945HX perfectly. The Era ITX combines aesthetic appeal with practical features, making it a standout choice for SFF (Small Form Factor) PC builders who don’t want to compromise on performance or design.First, the sleek anodized aluminum body with the solid walnut top panel is truly a piece of art. The case adds an element of sophistication to my workspace, elevating the visual appeal beyond the typical industrial look of most cases. Despite its elegant exterior, the design doesn’t sacrifice functionality. The excellent ventilation, achieved through thoughtfully placed air intakes and perforations on the sides, works seamlessly with compact cooling solutions. Paired with the Ryzen 9 7945HX, which runs cool and efficient, this case ensures optimal thermal performance even during prolonged gaming or heavy editing workloads. The case's internal design is as impressive as its exterior. Supporting GPUs up to 326mm in length and offering PCIe 4.0 riser cable compatibility, it easily accommodates high-end GPUs like the AMD RX 7900 XTX I installed. The compact layout challenged me initially, but the clever use of space and modular features made assembly smooth. With space for up to 280mm radiators, it also offers room for users opting for liquid cooling solutions, though I went with air cooling to maintain a quieter and more efficient setup. Even under stress, my system maintained excellent temperatures, thanks to the synergy between the Ryzen 7945HX and the Era ITX's ventilation. Finally, the attention to detail in features like the magnetic top panel, the inclusion of dual Aspect 12 PWM fans, and USB-C support at the front makes this case a joy to use daily. These small touches enhance its practicality while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic. Noise levels were pleasantly low, even under load, with the case's design effectively dampening vibrations. It’s a remarkable improvement over my larger ATX case, where noise from fans and components was far more noticeable. In summary, the Fractal Design Era ITX is an exceptional choice for SFF enthusiasts seeking style, efficiency, and practicality in one package. When combined with components like the Minis Forum BD795i SE and Ryzen 9 7945HX, it delivers a powerful, quiet, and thermally efficient system that looks as good as it performs. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or someone looking to build a compact yet high-performance PC, this case is worth every consideration.

Plenty of tie down points. Center spine is adjustable. Simple wood accent. Fantastic colors. Fits most parts(see pcpartpicker to check if yours will fit). I can say with confidence this is the best PC case I have ever owned. looks good, has good cooling, just enough room for cable management, font panel IO on the bottom.I only see two things that could have been improved upon. Some how making the bottom rear of the outer shell release as to not have to remove all the cables from your case when opening it up and to maybe have either a better PSU placement or a better PSU power cable extension (better conductors so it heats up less and thinner) so it gets in the way less. These are both minor, extremely minor critiques.I love the case and hope it serves me well for years to comeMy parts list:CPUAMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core$299.00CPU CoolerARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240 56.3 CFM Liquid$76.98MotherboardGigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA Mini ITX AM5$209.99MemoryG.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL32$105.99StorageSamsung 990 Pro 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME$326.00Video CardEVGA FTW3 ULTRA GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB$800CaseFractal Design Era 2 Mini ITX Tower$199.99Power SupplyCorsair SF850 (2024) 850 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX$199.99Case Fanx4Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black.swap 60.09 CFM 120 mm$34.95x4

Think of this case as the "big brother" to the Fractal Design Terra, but with some significant upgrades that set it apart. While it maintains a similar compact, space-efficient layout, this version offers additional room at the top to accommodate a 280mm AIO cooler. This is a game-changer for anyone running high-TDP processors, where the Terra tends to struggle with cooling under heavy loads. The extra cooling potential ensures your system stays cool and quiet, even during intensive tasks like gaming or rendering.Aesthetically, it leans towards a more streamlined, modern design with clean lines and subtle features. The center spine is adjustable, providing more flexibility for internal component placement—a thoughtful touch for users who want to fine-tune their build. The wood accent adds a simple yet elegant touch, giving the case a unique blend of natural and contemporary vibes that will look fantastic in any setup.Overall, this case strikes a perfect balance between form and function, making it ideal for those who want powerful cooling options without compromising on style.
