So the top of the ball joint shaft should have a female hex or torx fitting,or a flat on the shaft to enable the ball joint to be held whilst you tighten the top nut. The whole point of this unit is that the ball socket rotates and moves so if you can't stop the shaft from rotation then you can't tighten the nut. Every other make has this as standard. At least they refunded me so I could buy Febi ones.
