These umbrellas give the greatest lighting. It softens the light beautifully! I used two AD300’s in a clam shell shape. With these two reflectors and two small defuses over those reflectors, and it came out great. Softened the shadows that it needed, and got rid of the ones it needed. I will buy more. These are 41”, I want two 35” now. I rather use umbrellas than soft boxes. These are easier to set up. You just have to worry about the wind sometimes.

I was prepared to be a little disappointed in the value of this when I pulled it out of the box. It seemed just a bit thin for my taste. I have some really nice old Calumet umbrellas that are significantly heavier material. But as I started working with it, a couple of things won me over.First, the workmanship on the frame itself is quite good. I think the whole thing will hold up well.Second, the silver lining is very highly reflective. And the positioning of the umbrella in the light beam definitely makes a big difference. Experiment around with it--you can get a number of different looks.I have to knock one star, though. At this price, I really feel like the diffuser should have been included with the product, particularly since it's displayed so prominently in the listing. The value proposition just isn't quite there for me.Still, a well built and very reflective umbrella. At $30, this would be a five-star value.

What I liked:-This is a good size for my studio and I like the light better than the soft box (admittedly smaller) I had been using.-Catch light in the eye is pleasant and better than a ring light.-It's easily collapsed and toted about inside the included bag.-Gives every appearance of being durable.Godox says "parabolic umbrellas enable better direct control over contrast, saturation, and shadow-edge gradation of the subjects", but I haven't been able to discern this unique effect. Perhaps with more time I will come to understand.
