Tool was perfect. Doesn't seem cheaply made. I replaced spikes on my shoes with relative ease after about 2 years of use.

This little inexpensive spike wrench works perfectly with my Adidas golf shoes. The wrench is surprisingly sturdy with plenty of heft/weight, and I see no reason why it should not last a long time. Not much else to say about a simple tool like this but again, the wrench works exactly as expected.

I changed spikes recently (Softspikes). The spike removal tool that comes in the kit is a T handle and works good for removing the old spikes. The other tool is a flat piece of hard plastic with two prongs sticking out. I could get the first "click" when putting in the new spikes but there was no way I could get the second "click". After trying multiple sizes of plyers, I finally had to clamp a vice grip on the tool and was able to get the spike all the way in.I took a spike out this morning and used this "T" handle tool and had no problem getting the spike all the way in. When I change spikes on my winter shoes, I will be ready and won't have to fight to get them all the way in.

Installing cleats is fine. But, I can do that with my bare hands, so it isn't a big deal.Getting cleats out is a different story. After being packed full of mud and pebbles, the prongs on this are too long and too fat to really get by the pebbles. I ripped several cleats trying to use it... Kind of like stripping a screw that you can't get off after that.I spent over an hour trying to get the cleats off my shoes. The picture shows where I ended up drilling out an old cleat and installing it backwards so that I could get a grip on the ripped cleats. Gripping the star pattern is about as good as good as gripping the two holes. If your cleats have seen enough action to need replacements, plan an hour of your time to get the old ones out.
