I ordered this set of eight plates from the Amazon brand greenandlife. They are perfectly serviceable, deep-fill ten inch plates, which would be good for picnics and outdoor dining. However I do see a couple of downsides.I got plates that are very similar to these last year and they were made of wheatgrass. These guys look very similar, but are made of plastic - polyporopylene (PP) to be precise. PP has one of the safer plastic profiles for plastic food containers, however I doubt these things are ever clear cut. I personally stopped microwaving on plastic a couple of years back.I also thought it was interesting that the brand is called greenandlife, suggesting eco credentials, but apart from - I'm guessing here - washing reusable plates compared to throwaway paper, this can't be the most eco-friendly option out there.There is an additional warning stating care should be taken using metal cutlery - it me, this means the manufacturer is aware of metal cutlery marking, scraping or cutting the plastic - and if the plastic is not durable, I fear there is always the chance microplastics end up coming loose. Just my own fear there.The plates arrive in a carboard box, my box did look as thought it may have been previously opened, perhaps I am wrong. The plates do not have a perfect surface; they are not warped or anything, they're very flat/stable, but the inner surface is kind of cloudy in some areas, Im not sure what the cause is for this, but my wheatgrass plates also have this to some extent, albeit only after many washes.Finally I chose the blacks/greys colourway, there is a beige option in there randomly, which is a little out of place so we will probably only use those two plates if we are running short of other options. The grey hues do look good together however.Size wise, these are generous, large plates. They're good for parge portions, buffet selections etc - if you're buying unbreakable plates for kids' food, you may want the smaller size as a childs portion could look a little lost in the middle. The brand do also do 9in plates although a 7in size might be warranted.Three stars from me

They are the perfect size (Everyone needs 10 inches at some point of other) and they have good deep bowls to them, making them ideal for any meal that could spill over the edge of a regular plate (I'm thinking of the times when we may choose to have a Chinese "meal for two", for one person!).The plates are strong and sturdy and do not warp when something hot is on them. Last summer I purchased a bowl and a plate from the "bottom tapping supermarket" and they warped on the first use, in fact, a lot of them were warped on the shelf in the shop!These plates will be perfect for the occasions when I may choose to eat in the garden this summer, weather permitting of course. They don't break if dropped and they don't chip if knocked.Thinking back to what I paid for the ones in the "bottom tapping supermarket" last year, they were around £2.50 each, which makes these at the current selling price of £19.99 for 8, just as good value in price as the ones that I bought last year - except these are a better shape and much stronger. I'd happily give a recommendation for these plates.

This is a great set of plates, lovely looking, sturdy, deep, well made and practical.We use these for smaller children as they would be very hard to break, they certainly wouldn’t break if dropped and as the are quite deep they are good for keeping food on the plate.These are also excellent for picnics or just as spare plates when having people round for a BBQ etcThe plates are dishwasher safe and ours have shown no signs of wear from being through the dishwasher a few times.These also stack easily and are lightweight.A great set of plates that should last for years. Highly recommended

This set consisting of 8x large size plates arrived securely packed inside their branded box. Overall these are very well made and of pretty good quality. Each plate is a generous 10" long and about 1.5" deep. Also, each plate has its own unique colour which I really like.The material used is polypropylene and it is food safe and BPA free. The plates are also quite sturdy, yet lightweight and therefore these are very practical to use on a day to day basis (especially if you have toddlers). In addition, these are dishwasher and microwave safe which is very convenient. Price wise, given the quality and practical use, these are very reasonable in my opinion (just under £20 at the time of this review) so offer good value for money too.All in all, thoroughly impressed with these plates and would highly recommend. Easily worth a rating of 5 stars!

I’m really pleased with these greenandlife 10-inch plates. The large size makes them perfect for big portions, and the depth is great for meals with sauces or soups. They have a raised edge, which I actually find really handy as it keeps food from sliding off. Ideal for when you're eating picnic food with the plate balanced on your lap! The material feels strong and durable, and they don’t warp under heat like some plastic plates I’ve tried in the past. The set is microwave and dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus for convenience, and they’re easy to clean - food just slides off without much effort. Overall, I'm very happy.
