Good quality but for adult hockey player this just fits equipment…if you like to have a few extra items in your hockey bag this is not the one.

Anyone who plays hockey knows how much equipment is required and, even more importantly, how heavy all that equipment can be. Sturdy, heavy weight, rolling bags that can handle parking lots covered in snow (or worse yet, gravel) are a necessity!This bag is up to the task! At 36”, this is a full sized senior bag capable of handling all of your equipment needs (unless, perhaps, you’re a goalie). It is constructed of a durable 600 weight denier polyester fabric and, happily, has plenty of ventilation, a necessity when you are transporting wet, sweaty gear. The zippers are heavy weight and allow the bag to be fully opened for easy loading and unloading. The bag has heavy duty handles on either end and a set of straps located around the middle of the bag (with a velcro closure to hold them together) which facilitates easy lifting and loading. The thing I’m happiest about, however, is the large, heavy roller wheels and sturdy extension handle. Hockey tournaments here can be very crowded, forcing you to transport your equipment through all manner of terrain; anything that makes this chore easier is a big plus!One of the nicest features of the bag is the organizer which accompanies the bag; it allows you to use the bag as a large duffel or, by unfolding it, to create a series of compartments for the storage of all your gear. The organizer uses velcro straps to attach securely to metal loops sewn into three sides of the bag. The compartments are large enough to house such things as a pair of hockey gloves or a helmet. One of these even has a skate mat to protect the material from sharp blades. The organizer has two easily accessible pockets, one of them zippered, for storage of smaller items.Hockey players tend to be quite particular about their storage bags. Personally, I prefer one such as this with lots of room, wheels and handle for transport convenience, and ventilation for stinky, sweaty gear. The optional organizer is a real bonus allowing you to compartmentalize the bag for greater versatility. While even fancier bags exist, for me this provides all the features I require at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

This is a very useful wheeled hockey bag. Since I have a long trek between the parking lot and the rink's locker room, I appreciate being able to wheel around my hockey gear in this bag. I don't have to lug my gear over my shoulder for this distance. But, the hockey bag does have some downsides. Let me go through the list.Pros: - The wheels are super smooth. They roll easily and let me maneuver between objects with very little effort. The wheels have a tread design pattern to provide grip on wet surfaces. - The plastic wheel housing is riveted to the bag, providing wheel durability. - The retractable U-shape handle has a wide button on the top of the handle that when pressed will let me quickly extend and retract the handle. The handle has a non-slip grip while the sides of the handle are aluminum (the type of designs found on airplane luggage). - I like the two rails on the bottom of the bag. The floors of the change room can get very wet (either from the snow collected during hockey play or from the showers). The two rails help to keep the bottom of the hockey bag dry by preventing it from touching the wet floor. - The bottom of the hockey bag has a vinyl finish. If it does get wet or dirty, it can easily be wiped clean. - Hockey equipment is prone to that funky smell, so it's great that this hockey bag has plenty of ventilation. There's a mesh section on the top and at both ends of the hockey bag. This provides cross ventilation and helps to air-out the equipment. - The 2" hand straps are extra long. I like this because they can also double as a shoulder strap. On those days when the parking lot is covered in snow (especially wet and slushy snow) the wheels are not very useful. In these instances it helps to have a carry over-the-shoulder bag. - Where the hand strap is attached to the hockey bag, there are two riveted points. This adds plenty of durability when lifting and carrying the hockey bag on your shoulder. - The straps have a Velcro strap closure to keep the straps together when carrying the bag on your shoulder. The closure also provides a cushion and avoids the straps digging into your shoulders.Cons: - The wheels provided are plastic and does not provide good shock absorbency. They can be noisy when rolled around. - The U-shaped handle extension and retraction is not as smooth as I would like. I can feel some friction when I pull out or push in the handle from its enclosure. - The hockey bag cannot stand vertically. The bag does not have a foot to prevent it from tipping over.Pros and Cons: - This hockey bag comes with a removable compartment divider that is Velcro strapped into the bag using the 6 D-ring attachment points. Using the compartment divider, the hockey bag is separated into three compartments:1. The largest compartment is 20" x 16"2. A smaller compartment is 16" x 8.25" that fits a hockey helmet, elbow pads, etc.3. A third compartment is 16" x 7.25". This third compartment has a carpeted mat for skates. This is a nice design for skates. Skate blades are very sharp and at the same time can easily get nicked. This mat is perfect for keeping the skate blade safe and at the same time it prevents the blades from nicks.The compartment separator has side pockets - one is an elastic nylon pocket and the second is a mesh zippered side pocket. These pockets are perfect for hockey tape, skate sharpener, extra pucks, screw drivers (for helmets), etc. - With the compartment divider inserted into the hockey bag, I found there's no room to fit the standard equipment, which comprises shoulder pads, shin pads, and hockey pants. The largest compartment size is 20" x 16". Most hockey equipment like shoulder pads, shin pads, and hockey pants are longer than 20" and would not fit in this compartment. Sadly, to fit all my hockey gear I had to remove the compartment divider. Without the divider, it's just a plain, undivided duffle bag with no pockets. Without the compartment divider I do miss the side pockets because my hockey accessories are scattered throughout the hockey bag.Overall, I like the all black design including the colour matched mesh ventilation. The accented white strip on the hand strap is a nice touch. There's also a colour matched sewn-in name tag display to help in identifying your bag.I was disappointed that this bag could not accommodate the gear for one adult hockey player, unless the dividers were removed. And without the dividers, small items just tumble loosely within the bag.I think this bag would be great for younger kids, whose equipment is on a smaller scale, so they could make use of the dividers.

My son loves this bag!! He loves the dividers in it so he can organize all his stuff. Definitely on the large size, he’s 10 and it would be pretty hard to carry, but it has wheels and can be rolled as well. Super happy with our purchase, would definitely recommend it. Good quality as well.

I'd been using the same carry bag since college (nearly two decades), and finally the seams were just not solid enough for checking as airline baggage for a tournament. So I bought this bag mostly for the wheels, but was pleasantly surprised with how well it ventilates your gear.
