NOTE: I received these as a contributor to the Amazon Vine program.Been using lanyards with my past 2 or 3 phones. The tethers that came with those lanyards and that fit inside the phone case have always been just fabric. The little loop that sticks out of the hole where the charging plug goes has often frayed from the metal clip that attaches the lanyard to the phone. The metal-to-fabric friction caused fraying more frequently than I preferred. Sometimes that prompted buying a new lanyard because tether patches seemed impossible to find. Glad I found these, because my favorite lanyard now seems unavailable, my current tether patch was pretty frayed, and replacing just the tether patch lets me continue using the lanyard I like best.As the photos show, these are clear plastic. Most others are black, which might more obviously clash with colorful phone cases. There were 4 in the package I received. Each is rectangular and has a metal D-ring secured inside the loop that sticks out of the charging hole of the phone case. The plastic is pretty tough and strong. I tried tearing one with my fingers and couldn't do it. By my measurements, the rectangular part measures 1 3/8" x 2 3/16" without including the loop with the metal D-ring. From the D-ring to the 'top' of the patch measures 2 3/16" (1 3/8" plus 13/16"), so if not for the loop protruding as it does, the tether patch would be ineffective in that square configuration.This package also came with 4 small, circular, carabiner-like clips that are thicker than typical key rings, though I'm not sure they are stronger than typical split-ring key rings. That's fine with me; when carrying my phone, it's nearly always attached to my lanyard, (except when using it in the car for driving directions), and if it's not in my pocket, it's in my hand because I'm using it.If you do - or plan to - use a lanyard, these are great replacements/substitutes for tether patches that are mere cloth without the D-ring. Consider getting them to replace a tether patch that is mere cloth or fabric even if on a new lanyard.
