Has no locking mechanism. Therefore, it turns freely and drops easily.Considering its shortcomings, it is just an expensive toy, which looks good but totally unusable.Too pricey for its limited use.Look elsewhere.

Sadly the hood, which attaches quite nicely, is quick to turn and rotate causing vignetting or worse will fall off. Mine fell off twice in two outings, and today got lost.

Man kann die Blende zwar an das Objektiv ansetzen, aber es dreht frei. Wegen der eckigen Form führt dies zu Schatten im Bild. Der Deckel vorne sitzt dafür bombenfest. Man bekommt ihn kaum runter. Einfach vollkommen unbrauchbar - ging noch am selben Tag zurück.

The Fuji hood tends to be loose and is easily lost. This one mounts solidly. It is shorter but its rectangular profile probably gives a comparable performance. It is heavier but well made, with a metal bayonet, the rest being a very solid plastic. The shorter profile enabled me to put the lens into my bag without having to take off the hood and reverse it, as was necessary with the Fuji version. Fuji should have made one like this.

The lens hood seems to be good quality. Time will tell if the durability of hood is good or bad as another customer described in his review
