This HDMI ARC audio extractor does exactly what it promises—splitting HDMI audio into optical, RCA, or 3.5mm outputs with no noticeable lag or quality loss. The 192 kHz support ensures clear, crisp sound, making it great for soundbars, home theater setups, or older audio systems. It’s compact, easy to set up, and includes an HDMI cable, which is a nice bonus. Works well with Blu-ray players, streaming devices, and gaming consoles. If you need a simple, effective way to extract audio from HDMI, this is a solid choice!

This is a great solution for converting digital audio into analog. It's very helpful that it uses USB for power since most tvs have USB ports now. It was very helpful that all of the necessary cables are included so I was able to just hook everything up and use it. I don't need surround sound and use an old stereo receiver and this works great for getting the audio to my receiver. Good price for everything that is included and the functionality.

If you need an "Arc" connection and you don't have one this is the product for you! I used this for a projector that does not have an "arc" connection. I used this to connect my fire-stick audio to my Sonos. Instantly improved my sound to digital. Great product!

Reasons To Buy+ It works very well at its task+ If for some reason, your HDMI ARC (not to be confused with eARC) capable TV's analog out or optical out stops working, you can use the HDMI ARC port to output to your analog audio device (e.g., a soundbar or stereo receiver)+ Extracts audio (ARC only) from an HDMI signal+ Volume to the analog out can by controlled the TV using HDMI-CEC+ Good build quality. The main unit has a metal chassis.+ Powered by USB-C. I was able to use the USB-C port on my TV to power the device+ Includes an HDMI cable, optical cable, USB-A-to-USB-C power cable and a 3.5mm to RCA (L/R) analog cable. In my case, the absence of a charger was a non-issue.Nitpicks / Hit or Miss* It beeps when you've hit the maximum volume from the TV. It's a little annoying, but shouldn't be an issue once you've set up your audio system properly.* If you choose to use the optical audio output, be aware that volume information isn't passed over that signal so you will need to control your audio system separately (using your audio system's remote, or a programmable universal remote). This is a limitation of how optical signals work, not the device itself.Reasons Not To Buy- This does NOT support HDMI eARC found on newer TVs, only the old ARC protocol over HDMI on older TVs- Limited to specific use cases. For example, you have a TV with an ARC output with problematic analog/optical audio outputs.- Your audio device already supports HDMI ARC - in that case, you don't need this product, you should be able to solve your issue with an HDMI cable alone- Unlike some audio extractors, it does not support HDMI pass through- Does not support 5.1 audio

I hate optical, but unfortunately with my current set up I have new TV with an old bose soundbar that only has optical, coax, or stereo inputs and the TV supports arc, optical, and stereo output. The optical port on the TV broke so the cable would not fit securely so I got it to work but just could not move the TV or it would misalign. This solves that. I now can use TV arc out to this then this optical out to my soundbar and it worked instantly.Sound quality didn't have any noticeable quality loss or lag but I'm sure there is some which is why this is not a permanent fix but a temporary one. This also allows people to use equipment that wouldn't normally work together as a permanent solution. For $30 this can save me hundreds by not needing to buy a new soundbar.
