Honestly, what I love most about the VENTION HDMI Switch 4K is how stylish it is. It sits proudly in the centre of my living room, right in front of the TV, and its design really elevates the space. My old switch was perfectly functional, but it didn't have the same sleek, modern appeal as this one. When I compare it to my previous model, the VENTION really stands out. The logo on top, with its striking blue colour, is subtle yet eye-catching, and the metallic band around the middle adds a sophisticated touch.Another thing I appreciate is how compact it is. Despite its smaller size, it still offers the same five input ports as my old switch, which is perfect for my setup. The only slight difference is that the older unit has slightly more space between the ports, which might be more convenient if you're dealing with bulky connectors. That said, I only use four of the ports, which includes two bulky connectors, and they fit just fine, with the fifth port probably not accessible, but not needed anyway.Performance-wise, both the VENTION and my old switch work flawlessly. I have no complaints about how either one performs in terms of switching between devices or handling 4K resolution. However, there are a couple of things I prefer about my old unit. Firstly, the USB power cable on the VENTION is a bit short, so it needs to be placed near your USB charger unless you use an extension cable. It's not a dealbreaker, but something to consider. Secondly, the remote control is a weak point - it's functional but flat and feels rather cheap compared to my old one, which was more like a miniature TV remote. All in all, I'm really fond of the VENTION HDMI Switch 4K, particularly for its sleek design. If you care about aesthetics and don't mind a basic remote, I'd highly recommend it.

A pretty standard HDMI switch, but with a rather more classy appearance than most. That's what first caught my eye, and there's no doubt it's different to usual 'black box' stuff.. a couple of which I already use.The remote is a pretty basic affair, being the flat/membrane type that I'm not really a fan of in all honesty. It does the job, but I do prefer the remotes will 'real' buttons on them.Input/output socket layout means that there will always be 2 leads attached to the side edge (power and output), so you can never completely hide the cables (unlike rear-only ports). That's just the way most of these budget circuit boards are configured, so the case has to follow suit.Despite that, it's still an attractive little unit, and works as it should with no issues so far.On a quality/value-for-money basis.... 4-Stars (5 with a bit of discount).
