So the original ring Mount that comes with the RF 100-500 lens doesnt have arca swiss functionality. Don't ask me why, it wouldn't have cost anything for Canon to have cluted it on the OEM mount.This mount goes in place of that and includes the arca Swiss in case you want to attach to a tripod which uses it.That said, one important word of caution is that you should be very careful to make sure that it is securely tightened. I never have fully trusted arca Swiss and I've had a camera fall out of one once. I wish it was designed with some kind of lock mechanism or something, because they do come loose over time.For me, I understand the limitations of arca Swiss and wanted to use this lens on a tripod in a blind with the ability to quickly remove it from the tripod if necessary. In this case, my hands won't be leaving the camera at almost any time, so I feel comfortable using this and accepting that small additional risk so that I may remove the camera from the tripod quickly.

This Hersmay collar mount ring fits the Canon RF 100-500mm lens perfectly. When fully tightened, it does not turn on the lens (different than the OEM mount ring) which is something I like. This mount ring allows for multiple ways to attach it to a tripod.

It's a great way to improve the balance and handling of the lens, especially when shooting handheld. The lens collar is well-made and fits securely onto the lens. It also has a Arca-Swiss compatible quick release plate, which makes it easy to mount and remove the lens from my tripod.
