Unbelievable! Skiing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with temps 3-10 degrees Fahrenheit, and a low of “feels like” -6, never had cold fingers. On the 3rd day with temps in the upper 20, I went with my gloves as these mittens were just too warm! Like all Hester, pricey, but worth it.

The gloves are great, but the temperature range when these are OK, will be rather narrow for most people, as the inside glove is very synthetic and collects moist. Thus the gloves are great in the morning, while it is cold, seem to be OK during the day, when it becomes warmer, but when the temperature drops again, you find out that they are wet from inside and your hands are freezing.Solved this by adding a thin merino wool mitten to be used in the afternoons inside the gloves. Also found out that replacing the original synthetic inside glove with several grandma's woolen ones, the results are better, as the wool, even being slightly moist, still retains ability to keep hands warm.

These are the best ski gloves I have ever had. Quality through and through and very warm in cold conditions

Very high quality mitts. Worked well in -30 Celsius. I have poor circulation in my hands and it kept them warm.

I had been using a pair of Cabellas high end gloves, these are much better. Down to about 0f with no wind my hands stay toasty indefinitely. In colder or windier conditions my hands still do get cold, but with about 0 as the cutoff range I'm pretty happy. Above 25 with no wind these are too warm.

If your wondering to buy or not buy the mittens I will tell you right now they are the best. Even when I went skiing in -10 degree weather my fingers remained pretty warm but got a bit cold towards lunch but that was not the gloves fault that was my own poor circulated hands. No other glove/mitten could even remain this warm that I have tried before. If you really want warm mittens just add in your own silk or wool liner and then you will stay warm no matter what, when I did this my hands started sweating even though it was 5 out and I had to remove the liner to stop sweating. In this glove their is the outer shell which protects from snow, wind, and wetness. Then inside there is a mitten shaped "liner" which is removable and held in place by Velcro which holds it down firmly in place and is easy to put back in. I said "liner" because that liner is all the warmth of the glove and the outer shell is nothing at all except for the leather and waterproof material that keeps your liner dry. Also with this glove there is a very nice leash that you can put around your wrist so if you take your gloves off they are not going anywhere. The gauntlet of the glove is very long which is nice because that fits right over your jacket and then your tighten the string and no element is going in the glove. Because the leather is real you will have to keep it in shape with leather balm, sno-seal, etc. to keep it in good shape and for your gloves to last longer. There is an included Hestra brand leather balm they give to start you off so that is quite nice. Overall this is a great mitten that is super warm and can hold up against extreme conditions.
