WHAT IS IT FOR?It's a Chair Mat, a thin, nonslip carpet rectangle that you put on a hard floor to protect it from damage by chairs - especially office chairs with castors (wheels).IN THE BOXYou get the Chair Mat, rolled up in a plastic outer bag. Remove it from the bag and it quickly flattens out, lying flat on the floor like a mat should!USINGI've tried the Chair Mat on carpet tiles and slate floors, with conventional (dining) chairs and office chairs with wheels. It's held up admirably, despite my significant weight and fidgeting. On the carpet tiles, it didn't move at all; on the slate tiles, it wrinkled up a bit, but not enough to cause any problems.The rubbery backing works very well, keeping it in place. Other rugs and mats I've tried have migrated a few cm a week in heavy traffic areas; this one stays put. Excellent.So far so good. but you should be aware that the graphic design printed onto the Chair Mat is quite unconventional. It looks like a mat that someone has rescued from a skip, I kid you not. I guess the idea is to make it look antique, but really, it just looks worn out; faded and worn.Ironically, there's a warning on the packaging that says something like "do not leave in direct sunlight as this may cause fading". Er, too late?So just be aware that the Chair Mat might look rather out of place in your swanky new office, under your shiny new 21st century office chair.GOOD BITS+ Protects solid floors and floor coverings+ Good quality, with properly finished (whipped) edges+ Effective rubbery non-slip backing; it stays put+ No signs of wear after a few weeks' useBAD BITS- The graphic design makes it look worn out and faded; an odd choiceCONCLUSIONThis is an excellent, hard-wearing chair mat that stays put and does its job. If you like the pseudo-antique design, then it's worth 5 stars. But for me - and most people, I believe - that's quite off-putting; 4 stars.

This chair rug is great for stopping the marks from the wheels on the bottom of a home office chair. The rug itself isn't all that thick but good enough to take the grunt of the weight of a chair and wheels. The pattern/design on it is fairly faded which gives it that shabby chic look. A good rug and a very reasonable price.

Si no se lleva las 5 estrellas es por la forma en la que viene empaquetada, con mil dobleces que ni 4 días utilizándola pasando las 5 ruedas por encima, desaparecen los pliegues. ¿ No podrían enviarla enrollada?

This mat is so good! The back is like totally covered in non slip so doesn't bunch up with ridges - brilliant! It's also low profile what I like and is just the right size to move about a bit. Also, what I really liked was the pattern. I didn't think I was going to like it, but it's a impression of a design so the pattern doesn't slap you across the face and blends in with my lovely grey flooring. I liked this.
