Hook, Line, and Sinker: A Novel (Bellinger Sisters, 2, Band 2)

I really struggled with this one. The MMC really got on my nerves and half the time I wanted to scream at Fox:"Go to therapy. Grow up. Ooh please stop this whining." Could someone please throw him overboard and be done with it.

Would recommend for a light, fun read. The tension keeps you waiting for more, always wanting to know that happens next. The character development is great and engaging. This might even be a book I reread it was so good! I didn't even read the first one in the series but now I may go do so because I really enjoyed this one. The spice is more tension based at first but the good stuff is worth the wait!

Mais il ne va rien se passer entre eux, non non, parce que déjà Brendan l’interdit (wait what), mais aussi parce que Fox a une sacrée réputation de tombeur ! Peu importe qu’il ai arrêté, tout arrêté et pourquoi ? Pour qui ? De toute façon, il s’en voudrait trop de salir la réputation d’Hannah si les gens de l’île les voyaient traîner ensemble …On est sur une romcom de l’été, parfaite pour la plage ! Plein d’amour, d’humour, un petit friends to lovers (oui je sais, pas enemies to lovers cette fois ci, mais même si je suis que moyennement pas trop fan du friends to lovers, j’ai adoré) bien écrit et si léger qu’on ne s’attend pas à la profondeur des personnages.J’ai préféré ce second tome, m’identifiant plus à Hannah qu’à Piper j’imagine. Mais j’ai aussi préféré Fox, son caractère, son histoire tout ça tout ça !

The product itself had very good quality, but the story itself was very cute and likeable. Romance, feelings, but it had a very slow start .. Other than that, writing had a very high quality as well!

Manchmal lasse ich mich nicht nur von Covern sondern auch von meinem Zwang hinreißen eine "Reihe" zu beenden.Immerhin bleiben sich die Charaktere treu.Was besonderes war es nicht. Die Schwächen vom ersten Teil wurden mit deutlich mehr '"Tiefgang", wenn man das so bezeichnen kann, ausgebessert.Als Urlaubslektüre durchaus zu empfehlen. Wenn man etwas mit Anspruch sucht, ist das auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen.

Der zweite Teil ist etwas mehr gelungen als der Erste. Ich persönlich fand die Hauptcharakterin im ersten Band super unsympatisch und nervig, ihre Schwester (die Hauptprotagonistin) in diesem Band war erträglicher, die Geschichte aber trotzdem nicht gerade orginell und tiefgründig.

I loved this book so much. Definitely lived up to the hype. I could not put this down. I accidently read this book before 'It happened one summer', but it did not matter that much. You can read this book as a standalone perfectly fine. I loved the characters so much and the tension between the main characters. I read this in one sitting, couldn't put this book down! Loved the characters and the spice was also good!

Das Buch ist schön geschrieben. Ich mag die Vogelperspektive eigentlich nicht so sehr, aber es war mal was anderes.Nachdem ich ein schwer verstörendes Buch gelesen habe, habe ich mich für dieses entschieden und wurde nicht enttäuscht.Dazu muss ich sagen, dass ich über 10 Tage für das Buch gebraucht habe, weil diese Idylle doch sehr langweilig war.Die letzten 100 Seiten nehmen noch mal Fahrt auf, da wurde es dann interessanter.Das Buch ist ganz nett aber ich würde es kein zweites Mal lesen, weil die Emotionen mich nicht besonders mitgerissen haben.

I was excited to head back to Westport and hang out with the Bellinger sisters again. After reading It Happened One Summer, I was looking forward to discovering more about Hannah.Hannah is comically well aware that she is a supporting character and this story is pretty much her journey to move out of her comfort zone and become a main character. I loved the way of telling her story, how she grew, how unique she is and all the songs that turn in her head all the time.Fox had a good backstory. I felt sorry for him, for how he was treated by everyone including his friends but he also frustrated me to the point I - almost - threw my kindle across the room. You see, Fox is the “one step forward, three steps back” kind of guy and while it fits his character and the plot, by the third time he got scared of his feeling for Hannah, I was ready to give up on him entirely. Thankfully, he eventually figured it out and they got their happily ever after so I forgive him.I was a bit disappointed by the lack of Piper in the story. I adore her and it felt odd that Hannah never went to confide in her, at all. But I also understand that Piper has a huge personality and would have stolen the spotlight from Hannah if she was more present in the story.Overall, I really liked the story. The slow burn was torture - which I loved - I enjoyed the friends-to-lovers trope more than I thought I would!

Where do I even start?! This book made my heart ache in the best way possible.While It Happened One Summer was sheer rom-com perfection and one that I was borderline obsessed with, this one took me by absolute surprise. I have to say, I may actually love this book more than the first, which is saying a lot as IHOS set a very high bar. I just really, really LOVED it. I honestly was not prepared for the emotional journey Hook, Line, and Sinker took me on. It’s honestly one of the best friends-to-lovers romance books I’ve ever read, and it’s clear that Tessa Bailey has poured her heart and soul into writing this book.I've been impatiently waiting for Fox and Hannah’s love story ever since this couple were introduced in It Happened One Summer and this book seriously delves into their relationship in a way I wasn’t anticipating. The opening to this book was PERFECTION, and it really showcased how their connection was built. I knew after the Fleetwood Mac album moment in IHOS that Fox and Hannah were soulmates, and every single page of this book just proved it. The banter, the angst, and the PINING were all absolute perfection. Their honesty was real and raw, and the depth of their relationship had my heart melting and aching in equal measure, and I don’t think I will ever forget the way they made me feel with their romance.It was the most exquisite slow burn, heartfelt, friends-to-lovers story. And seeing the vulnerable side of Fox affected me deeply. He is such an intricately crafted and complicated character with a depth to him that I never ever saw coming. My heart broke for this beautifully broken man. I've never read anything like that from a male character before and I truly appreciated how Tessa Bailey wrote his story. And Hannah, what a beautiful, precious soul. She’s incredibly relatable with big dreams, and I adored her and her love for music. The fierce way she fights for Fox in ways that I’ve never seen a heroine done so before—fights for him to trust her, to believe in her, to keep her. Watching her help Fox realise his true potential and character was absolutely everything. Their relationship and their love is so breathtakingly beautiful that it almost left me breathless.Without a doubt, this one of my top reads and I don’t think I’ll get over this high that Fox and Hannah have put me in for a long, long time. It’s the kind of high I endlessly chase and it’s the kind of book I want to keep on reading forever because I'm so effortlessly and hopelessly in love with the characters and their rich, heartfelt relationship. I'm not ready to leave Westport and the grizzled fishermen who live there. This series will be a forever favourite of mine that I'll continue to revisit over and over.

Hook, Line, and Sinker is the newest book of Tessa Bailey and it’s the second book to the Bellinger Sisters Series. The first one, It happened one summer, already introduced us to Hannah and Fox and their story is just stunning.Hannah is a beautiful person who sees the world in music and I loved that aspect so much. She works in the film industry as an assistant and when they need a new set for their movie, she suggest Westport and that is how she goes back there. She was born in this small fishing town, but has no memories of it and in this book she finds a bit more of a connection to it. Her sister Piper from the first book lives there, but they don’t have space in their house and so she moves in with Fox while she is in Westport.And Fox is just everything and I need a Fox of my own. A lot of people think he is a player and is nothing more than a one-night stand. While some of this is true, you can also change as a person and that is what happens when he meets Hannah and starts to reflect on his life. Yet a lot of people don’t see that and that was so sad. Fox is just amazing and all the little things he did like buying a record player because it reminds him of Hannah or putting a salt lamp in her room so she feels more at home are just a few examples of that.Their relationship was just so wholesome and I adored it so much. It is a friends-to-lovers romance and I loved to follow their development into more. Especially their texts to each other were incredible and both are so supportive of the other.This story is one of my new favorite books ever and I highly recommend it.
