Die Rolle zu 50m des 1mm Edelstahlseils soll laut Produktbeschreibung 200 g wiegen, bringt aber 225 g auf die Waage. Das sind etwa 12% mehr als angegeben. Soweit ist das nicht schlecht. Aber woher kommt das Übergewicht? 12% mehr bei einer 50 Meter Rolle hieße 6 Meter mehr Draht auf der Rolle. So eine großzügige Zugabe ist eher unwahrscheinlich. Vermutlich stimmt nur die Produktangabe nicht.Zur besseren Verarbeitung hätte ich mir ein Seil auf Rolle gewünscht und nicht, wie in diesem Fall, als Luftring.Der angegebene Durchmesser von 1mm wird exakt eingehalten.Das Seil ist sehr flexibel und kehrt selbst nach längerer Biegung wieder in seine Ausgangsform zurück.Einen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt im Salzwasserbad hat der Testabschnitt ohne sichtbare Korrosion überstanden.Fazit: Empfehlenswert.

Wir haben unsere Pergola im Garten damit verspannt. Das Drahtseil verleiht der Konstruktion zusätzliche Stabilität und dient als Rankhilfe für die Pflanzen, die für die Beschattung zuständig sind.Das Stahlseil ist mit 3 Millimetern stark genug, dennoch flexibel und korrosionsbeständig.

Excellent wire, well braided and extremely strong. Not sure if it really is PVC coated though - doesn't feel like it.I've been meaning for some time to upgrade my climbing plant wiring from the current rust-prone galvanised wire to a nice neat stainless solution. I intended to use the aluminium crimp style of fixing for neatness. I figured 'bigger is better' and ordered the 3mm variant. I kind of shot myself in the foot as it turns out that the crimping tools needed for 3mm crimps and wires are at least £50 - considerably more expensive than the ones for thinner wire which top out at 2.2mm, typically. I guess I'll have to use the mini-shackle style clamps instead..In summary, good strong cable at a good price, just be sure of what you're buying.

A strong, rust proof and reasonably flexible wire for a multitude of uses - I will use it as a washing line since all the nylon ones I have used in the past have cracked apart, sagged or just snapped.
