A super informative distillation of how teaching happens. A must read for all educators who care about what works and what doesn’t work as a method of instruction.

Kirschner, Hendrick, and Heal (all three noted experts in the field) manage to synthesize the most impactful research about teaching in such a way that every teacher can become more effective by applying it. Their conversational style and relatable examples help to make the content easy-to-digest and approachable by even the novice reader. This book should be a core resource in educator prep programs -- a truly valuable contribution to the field.

As an instructional leader and coach, I have this book right alongside "How Learning Happens." I use the book as I plan professional development and coaching. It's always right beside my desk and computer as I read it quite often to refresh to focus on my work with coaching and leading teachers.
