I don't know the author, I am a feminist and I really wanted to like the book. It looks phenomenal also! The title is very enticing.But I don't. I'm sure it is supposed to be comedic - personally I don't find any joke or meaning in the endless lines of excessive digressions. To me it's extremely hard to read, it's written like the nervous outpour of someone you meet at a party and who desperately wants you to like them. Not unsympathetically, but overwhelming and I just cannot follow. I really tried for a fifth of the book. Surely the content could be cool if it was a live comedy piece?Happy so many others like the book though.If you're were hoping for a non-fiction feminist book don't buy it. If you're interested in an autobiography on the author's dating life written in a VERY lively humorous way - go for it.

This was exactly what I hoped it would be. Not a self help book, not a book about instructions or advice, but a reflextion of the romantic experiences of a straight woman, who is aware of how conflicting it is to fear, resent and suspect men, while also loving men.I not only agreed with 97% of the author's feelings and ideas, but I related to them. From the very first paragraph I was like "wait, did I write this book and forgot?". I wish I had.Its funny, witty, fast paced, filled with pop culture references and jokes that are VERY my style.Not sure this has "helped" me navigate the muddy waters of the straight dating world, but it gave me a sense of calm to know there are other women, in other countries, of other ages and backgrounds, that just get it and have felt the same way.Its not a serious book, but take it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

Got it for my daughter also called blythe roberson-leech. She got a mention from the author ;) . Thought provoking, light hearted patches and doesn’t preach which would have turned me off. Look forward to the authors next book in the works

Not what I expected but a great commentary on growing up as a boy-crazy girl. Makes me feel better about admiring men while still being aware of our patriarchal society. Good read for modern women young and old! (Though older women may not get all of the pop-culture and Harry Styles references)
