Really tight at first as expected, but their is no elastic to lift the top from the sole like most of these things. I’ve had loads of these things over the years and I just know they won’t suit me.

Shoes were nice but not what I wanted. So returned.Getting refunded took some time. Amazon sorted it out. They were great.

Firstly, I had to go up to size 10 from my usual 9. The main issue relates to pronation (turning of the foot) and how the shoes fit. Some people's feet turn in and some turn out when they walk. There is a natural adjustment and turning of the foot to protect it when we walk. Anyway, my feet are pretty much straight when walking and standing. What I noticed is that when I step into the shoes wearing a sports sock, my heels turn in and overhang the inside rear of the shoe. This occured to an extent it was uncomfortable to walk. I discovered that wearing a thinner sock did not result in such strong an effect. Therefore, I decided to keep the shoes as I don't walk far while wearing them. Do keep this in mind (your feet might be different) and be careful not to injure your foot or find the shoes are not comfortable for you. Otherwise, very nice shoes (I just wonder how much thought has gone into fit).
