The Hat Washer Cage with mesh bag did a great job in cleaning my old baseball hats. Used the cage with the mesh bag in a new front end loader washer that had a delicate wash setting and then air dried (outside the washer) the hats overnight. All the normal dirt on 100 percent of the baseball hats was removed! Baseball hats were not, repeat not deformed. 75 percent of the baseball hats came out looking like brand new. The other 25 percent of the baseball hats had varying degrees of perspiration lines from sweating that was still apparent -- I don’t believe anything would have removed these old perspiration lines.

Time consuming for getting hats ready to wash. But the hats keep their shape.

These are great!!! Love that there's a laundry bag to go over the plastic frame! My husband wears hats all the time and some of the lighter colored ones get a little shabby looking and he eventually donates them to replace with identical ones and I was like why not try to wash them, well we did and the results were like new!This is so simple, snap it in, zip the bag up, throw it in & forget it! I threw this in the dryer too for a little bit and then took out and let air dry completely!Totally suggest for any hat people out there!.

I'm one of those people that look at all the bazillion choices and research which seem to be the best option. This one ticks off all my boxes for a baseball cap washing cage.The plastic the cage is made out of feels very thick and sturdy. They are easy to take apart and snap back together. The size may look really big but it's better than too small. I wear 7 1/8" fitted caps, and i was able to fit my snapbacks over the bottom plastic cage insert if i unsnap the back of the hat open. Everything closes up just fine, the shape of my hat still looks good.The other feature I wanted was a nice mesh bag that completely covered the entire hat The mesh on the bag feels almost plush, with multiple layers, making me feel assured that not a lot of lint and debris is gonna find its way inside. The zipper felt smooth going around the shape of the hat, and it tucked neatly under an elastic protective little "garage" so the zipper doesn't flap around and get pulled open during the wash.The other feature I liked is that it has a small loop on the back of the mesh bag so you can hang to dry.I'm happy withthis product and so glad I got the 2-pack. Because if I'm washing these in a laundry machine, I can't really load it with a bunch of other laundry, so another hat rolling around should be safe enough lol Where there's one dirty hat, there's likely another one with it.

The first, and most important thing to say about these is that they appear to be very well made. The plastic frame seems to be durable, the hats fit well and are secured, and the mesh bags are made of nice material that will likely hold up for many washes. To me, the quality of a product is important, and these meet the expectation.I tested the hat washer cages with two of my nastiest, most stained and dirty hats. While they did come out "clean" in the sense that they smell better and look a little brighter; the stains are still there. I probably should have pre-treated the stains. Or maybe, these old dirty hats have seen their day. The stains did not come out, so don't expect any miracles here. But, the hats did keep their shape and overall look better than they did before I washed them.I think that this is a good product, and I will use these to "freshen up" my many hats that never get washed. Insofar as my two test subjects: they were probably beyond their life expectancy before I attempted to wash them. They will go in the trash looking and smelling a bit better than they did; but there probably was no real hope for them from the start. These cages do well to protect the integrity of your hats while washing them and are a good product to own for those whose hats may need freshened up. I highly recommended these for keeping your hats bright and smelling fresh. Just keep in mind that these cages will not perform miracles.
