I just put this one up a few days ago and right next to it I put another feeder that holds a lot more feed and the birds love this one the most. They've already finished all the feed in just 3 days and that was with them newly discovering this new feeder. I have a feeling it's going to be emptied every other day. I found that my songbirds on my property tend to love the feeders that have a perch on the bottom where they can rest and they have enough room to eat the feed. I haven't seen them using the smaller feeder holes, they seem to be preferring the base. I also got some feeders recently that don't have the base and they just have the smaller feeder holes so I'll see if they is that we're not. For now with this one there definitely loving this feeder! I haven't had to clean it out yet but the bottom is removable so it should be easy to clean if necessary. I know that's one of the things with these tube feeders that they can be challenging to clean out if the bottom doesn't easily remove. Shouldn't be a problem with this one. This is attracting a wide variety of birds ranging from Cardinals to much smaller songbirds and chickadees. I haven't started paying attention closely to how many different species have been coming to the feeder yet. But there has definitely been a flurry of birds all around this feeder at least for the second and third day.

So far this has been great! I'm really impressed with the bird feeder. It allows for easy cleaning. No more junky, gummy wet bird seed (from the rain) at the bottom of the feeder that I couldn't reach to clean. I'll buy this one again over and over!

The cold temperatures and continued snows of winter have brought a lot of birds to the feeders set up around our property. When there is a line for birds waiting to grab the next open feeding area, it's time to get another feeder. We saw this iBorn metal tube feeder and thought the birds would take a liking to it.The feeder arrived nicely packaged in a cute box. As we pulled the feeder out, we could immediately see that it was a quality product. The lid, base and food ports are all made of a sturdy metal. Each metal piece feels strong, and we were unable to bend the metal in any way. Using metal for these particular pieces is a great feature because it keeps pesky squirrels from nibbling through the feeder to get to the seed. We have had many a feeder destroyed by hungry, determined squirrels. The tube portion is plastic, but there is really no way that a squirrel could access a rim of the tube to begin chomping. The tray portion of the feeder is solid and strong. There are 4 ports where the seed spills out into the tray. There is also a metal foot perch for the birds to stand on while feeding. It gives them easy access to the seed that falls throughout the tray. The tray also has 8 drainage holes to keep the seed dry during snowy or rainy weather. Without the drilled holes, the seed would end up sitting in water and eventually go bad. Rotting seed is most definitely a health hazard for our feathered friends. The lid of the feeder is larger than the base, which helps to keep the seed dry. Though, if you are experiencing a driving rain with high winds, the seed will still get wet. A real plus about this feeder is the number of birds that it can feed. Not only does it have the 4 feeding ports on the tube, but the birds can also situate themselves around the entire tray for easy dining. This bird feeder is easy to clean. By unscrewing the various hardware, you can take apart the entire feeder for a thorough cleaning. Use dish washing soap and water, and a kitchen scrub brush or tube bristle cleaner for access to the inside of the tube.Depending on what seed you use, you can attract quite a variety of birds to this feeder. We plan to place black oil sunflower seed in it. We are certain that Purple Finches, Goldfinches, House Finches, Black-capped Chickadees, Tufted Titmice and White and Red-breasted Nuthatches will certainly take a liking to this feeder. Our fingers are crossed that we might even spot a Redpoll or Pine Siskin this winter. Northern Cardinals, Blue Jays and various woodpeckers should delight in the feeder as well.

I purchased this for my mother, She says it dropped so many birdseeds through the many holes onto the ground. The local squirrels and pigeons had a field day. Once we ran out of birdseed, we stopped using it completely.
