These were perfect for my seedlings. I like the bottom tray for water dipping twice a day and then the trays to lift them out of the water in between water drippings.

I am beyond thrilled with these 1020 mesh trays! The mesh bottom design is brilliant. The size is just right for my growing rack, and the reinforced edges make the tray incredibly sturdy, even when filled with soil and water. I also appreciate that it's made from BPA-free, food-safe plastic, so I can trust it's safe for my plants. These trays are versatile, easy to handle, and seem built to last. I used these to plant a flat of grass sod from seed. I mix my dirt and cinder in and lay the seeds on top and "rake" it into the soil mixture. It's easier to control the grass when in these types of flats. Once the roots grow thick, I cut it into smaller squares and lay it in the ground. These trays work great for my purposes.
