This IMAYCC Car Wheel Lock, Heavy-Duty Tire Lock, is a terrific deterrent for thieves. Its high visibility is a potent deterrent. Most bad guys/gals don’t want to mess with something that will slow them down. However, since the walls of the metal tubing are 0.06” (1.5mm) thick, it would be a quick and easy job for a battery-powered grinder. However, that would make noise, and thieves like to be quiet. I use this on a small utility trailer that carries and stores my grandson’s ATV. The lock fits those small tires, the larger ones on our camper, and the ATV. The clamp arms are coated with rubber to protect your rims from scratches.I recommend that you always have at least two deterrents for thieves. We have five in place: a coupler lock, a high-strength chain and lock, a visible security camera with cloud storage and a hidden camera, and now this wheel lock. We also keep it in a high-visibility area.The locking mechanism uses a copper lock cylinder and comes with three well-made curved keys. The keys are 0.10” thick, which is thick enough not to break off in the cylinder like thinner keys can and will.Conclusion: This wheel lock is worth having. We live in a rural area, and as expected, a few thieving tweakers are looking for an easy target. Although we haven’t had anything stolen, some in our area have had items disappear. I wouldn’t count on this alone to stop a determined thief, but it sure sends a message that you are taking precautions to prevent loss. From what I can tell, this wheel lock should last a long time. For an investment of less than thirty dollars, it is a bargain. Because of the thin metal, it failed to exceed my expectations, which is my standard for a five-star review. However, it did meet them, earning a solid four stars. This item would likely be my choice if I needed another one. I hope this review helps. Thank you for reading.

This anti theft wheel lock by IMAYCC wa quite easy to use. It is easier to handle than I expected, as I thought it was going to be heavy and cumbersome.We got this lock for our trailer that we park outside in hopes that it would deter theft, or the possibility of theft.The design of this lock is different from any other I've seen in that it has a curved design to it. I'm thinking this makes it harder for the lock to be picked(?) Three curved keys are provided.So far this lock has met, and is meeting our expectations and is a good value for its price point.

very visible deterrent to thwart lazy opportunistic thieves but thinner metalThe lock works flawlessly with both keys but for better weather protection I lubricated everything with Food Grade Silicone Lubricant.I consider this lock only one part of a complete trailer securing system. The best part of this wheel clamp is its high visibility. Thieves want the easy target so this anti-roll type wheel locking clamp type lock may just deter the lazier opportunistic thieves. For the determined thieves, this wheel clamp lock can be quickly subverted by simply removing the wheel. You must add your own mixed key locking lug nuts, coupler lock (that also locks up chains), and etc. etc..However, with the introduction of cordless battery powered grinders nothing will stop a determined thief. Of course, a determined thief can and will get through any lock. The safest deterrent is having secure locks AND a very reliable Burglar Alarm System with video surveillance and siren and owner notification (or silent alarm and police notification if allowed in your area).Thieves these days use battery powered grinders to cut through hardened steel so I just hope this very visible and thicker looking metal deters them or at least slows them down enough to get good video images from the security camera. I have the security camera set up through WiFi to Cloud storage. I also have a couple of hidden locks that the thieves have to find. I have tried the silent alarm, but the police will not show up to a burglar alarm in time. So now I have a couple of screeching banshee sirens to bother the thieves. I keep my property insurance paid up. I am not going to confront a thief. I am going to call the cops and call my insurance agent.

I can't fault it in any way based on its weight, metal thickness or size. It's pretty much exactly the same as others I have from other brands. Without destroying it, I can't really test its capabilities of stopping a thief. I can say I believe it's a good deterrent and would definitely slow someone down enough to maybe make them think twice about trying to steal your stuff. Since it doesn't cover the lug nuts, they could just remove the tire so I use three of these on my trailer. If they want it bad enough they will need to bring spare wheels with them since a 1 wheel trailer won't pull very well. I do like the rubber coating on the the parts that go around the wheel so there's no metal on metal if you're using this on am expensive wheel. It's really easy to install and remove and will fit most any standard off the lot wheels. It fits on my 275/65 R20 truck tires. It may not fit oversized off-road tires but I don't have any of those to test it on. Overall a decent product but nothing is 100% effective 100% of the time when it comes to preventing theft.

The list goes on and on on the possibilities of using this HD tire lock system. Is it an end-all to trailer or vehicle theft? NO, but all locks can be defeated with unlimited time so this is an excellent tool to better keep your car or trailer from easily walking (rolling) away without extra effort.This lock is simple and easy to use. Just use the key to unlock and open the jaws apart. Then put the 2 section back together again and lock the locking pin into one of the 10 holes. They give you 3 keys that are very unique and are slightly rounded. Split them up onto different key rings so you don't lose them since you will not find a key shop with this kind of replacement key.Great for securing trailers, RV's, ATV's, golf carts, boat trailers, cars and trucks (not huge truck tires). The bright yellow painted color really stands out along with the red rubber protective coating on the jaw clamps and end piece.Overall the construction seems well made, The key hole has an attached snap-on rubber dust & dirt cover to protect the key slot from debris. OVERALL this is a nice deterrent to potential thieves. If you are protecting a trailer I also recommend getting a keyed hitch lock for added security and protection. The more difficult you make a thief work the easier for them to move on to the next easier target. RECOMMENDED.
